I've been using Pantene Pro-V for a while now and recently I've noticed my hair is thinning and weaker.
Is this normal?

Mainly, what shampoo would be best to fix my problem?

first you need to have a clarifying treatment done at a salon then use Paul Mitchell Super Strong Shampoo it really strengthens the hair.

Well,... Pantene has ALCOHAL in it. So it ruins ur hair.

Here is a home remedy to repair ur hair the NATURAL way

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed & remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Pantene has an ingredient called beeswax, the beeswax makes your hair feel better for the moment but over time the wax build up on the strands weight it down and causes breakage. If you have really strong hair or short hair this wont be a problem, however it causes trouble for alot of people, including you. Just change shampoo and use a clarifying shampoo (to get rid of the build up) once a week for a while and it should get back to normal soon enough

Yep. Pantene is awful for your hair. The ingredients they use can be found in drain remover. It seriously destroys your hair. I would stop using it right away and throw out anyother pantene products that you have.. Anyways, try any John Frieda products. They are a little bit pricy, but trust me. At least your hair won't be falling out anymore. And your hair will be much more fuller and healthier! Good luck!!

I wish I could send out a public announcement to tell everyone to stop using pantene it is the worst shampoo anyone can use on there hair. It will destroy your hair in many different ways. I now recommend Redkens anti snap shampoo and conditioner for you to rebuild the strength. Redken is a salon brand and one of the best I know. Good luck and burn your Pantene bottle. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

How come everyone hates pantene, I've used it forever and it works great for me!

Anyway, I suggest rusk shampoo and conditioner, its works miracles, but is alittle pricey.

I'd recommend Nioxin. It was created for people with weak and thinning hair. Nioxin is really good for helping your hair grow long and strong. Good luck on your quest to healthier hair. I'm very sorry this had to happen to you.
