You cannot know in your flesh, no man can. God is a Spirit. Only the Spirit of the Lord reveals the Word to you. When you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, there is no doubt that there is a God and when you study to learn of Him thru His Word He will reveal Himself to you. Ask and seek the infallible God and stop asking fallible man.

I am so glad to hear so much anti-Christ comments. It used to bother me. Now It further lets me know that my Redeemer liveth and He shall return soon. Hallelujah.

"The Bible was written over a period of 1400 to 1800 years by more than 40 different authors. The Bible is a compilation of 66 separate books, divided into two primary divisions: the Old Testament (containing 39 books) and the New Testament (containing 27 books). It is believed that all of the books of the Bible were written under inspiration of the Holy Spirit. "

As to the bible being true, honest, accurate .... it is written in parable .... as said in the bible ... so that leaves it up to the reader so anyone can read it, and make it fit their idea of true. It is an esoteric teaching that has stood many tests, that shows there must be some truth to it.

I have no problems with the bible. It is the way some people have to interpret the bible, and seem to think that the way they interpret it is the only way.

Personally, I think God is something much greater than anybody can even imagine. Why would I think I could understand God, in his infiniteness, with my little head.

Your "evidence" is lacking in substance. Even the NIV study Bible will tell you that many of the authors in both the Old and New Testament are unknown and/or suspect. The Christian video class of Disciple I, narrated by several Biblical and Christian scholars states the same things. The theologians also admit that the belief that Hell is an actual place are most likely wrong and Hell is a state of being rather than a physcial place.

The oldest translations of the New Testament are still decades removed from the original events and are copies of copies of copies of copies that had been passed down through the years and translated from Greek or Aramaic into Latin, Italian, English, German and so on.

Any quick research will show this to be true.

1. Claiming a prophecy is true after the fact doesn't make a "correct" prophecy.
2. I could say I spoke the word of god, would you believe me?
3. My son could tell you I spoke the word of god, would you believe him?
4. There are in fact thousands of contradictions in the Bible. You are not paying attention to what you read.
5. Archaeological proof of WHAT?
6. Medical proof? Such as virgin births, conception after childbearing years? 900 year old people?
7. I have tested the Bible against my own life, I have found nothing of use. Perhaps that bit about stoning your child?

1.) False; also, some prophecies are so vague that you can make them fit anything, while others are so obvious that any idiot could make them up and be right
2.) Not valid, even if you proved God, which you haven't
3.) See #2
4.) Not all contradictions are taken out of context unless you have some unusual interpretation
5.) Not sure what you're talking about, though I'd question whether it's really proof (of course, I'm a skeptic)
6.) Easy, and many books do the same
7.) Other teachings work well in life, too, and just because certain teachings in a book work well does not mean the whole book is true.

You lose.

To many people try and try and try to prove things, such as the bible. What most dont get is.. Its not the bible persay its what it represents. "GOOD" the moral value of life. I for one dont use the bible to be Godly but to be more Christ like. Good deeds Kind words = Good rewards.

P.S. when someone says the bible is ALL true to its word ask that person.... "then why do the Gospels in fact differ from one another?" if proof needs to be proven Then read the gospels You well SEE that they DO infact differ from one another in there words and events that took place. yet for me whats important Is not what it says Its what it means.. cause people can twist things into so many aspects to suit there own needs.

2 and 3 doesn't prove anything. The Bible is true because the Bible says so or what?
Let me quote Socrates: "True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing"
No human can know for a fact if the Bible has any truth at all, only chose between believing or not believing.

The story of Adam & Eve is not true because when members of the same family bear children, the offspring are always born with genetic defects like sterility and Mongolism(Down Syndrome). If you want proof, marry your cousin and have children. How did Noah get to the Amazon Rain Forest to gather many of the 1 million different species of insects?

You cannot know that the bible is true. Truth is apparant and is unmistakable. Any description of truth is only a description, not truth.
The teachings within the bible, though translated by those who do not understand it and edited by those that fear it, point to your own direct experience of your true Self, or Christ. To take these parables literally is to fail to penetrate the teaching.
Do not study the finger pointing at the sun, see where it points.

Without words, you are already truth.
