I don't ask, I answer.

My favorite was a sincere question from a believer, describing circumstances in which she says a little prayer, during the course of the ups and downs, and minor scares of the day.

She wondered what we atheists do.

I mean, it was a genuine curiosity as to what people who don't believe in god do, in these situations where her habitual response is a little communication with the big guy.

It seemed to me to be just the kind of thing that this service was meant for -- exchanging ideas, information, experience, in a mutually respectful way.

As I recall, a bunch of people slammer he, assuming she was preaching, which she wasn't.

BTW, you could click people's avatars to see what questions they've starred -- though you can't sort or filter by category.

Now that I think about it, my first question on YA (of fewer than 10) was in R&S. What does spirituality mean?

I thought it was a reasonable question, but I didn't get, as I recall, any satisfactory response, really.

Well, it's far from the best and I'm not even particularly proud of it.....but here's one that surprised me by the number of answers and all the stars.

It's almost picayune in its specificity on a point of Biblical literalism, but it just made me laugh:

HOW DID NOAH GET THE KANGAROOS FROM AUSTRALIA TO THE ARK, AND HOW AND WHY DID THEY RETURN TO AUSTRALIA?

I couldn't find the original, and it probably was not original with the asker, but its cinematic imagery and impeccable logic made it stick with me.
