The evil that men do is highlighted
by the media. The good is often buried under
labels...so let it be with Romney.
The Media has touted that Romney is a Mormon. If it
is so, it is a grievous thing and may cost him the
election.
When the scandal laden Olympics was embarrassing our
nation, Romney stepped in and turned it into a
showcase. Yet, Romney is a MORMON, and surely a
MORMON cannot be President.
Romney won the governorship of Massachusetts as a
REPUBLICAN, yes, in a state that gives us Sen.
Kennedy. He showed the ability to work with all
people, of all political backgrounds-Yet Romney is a
MORMON and surely a MORMON cannot be President.
Romney saved a state government facing fiscal
disaster, bringing economic expansion and staving off
unemployment, something this nation could use- Yet
Romney is a MORMON, and surely a MORMON cannot be
President.
Unlike many politicians, Romney has remained faithful
to his wedding vows, keeping his commitments to his
wife and blessing his children-Yet Romney is
a MORMON, and surely a MORMON cannot be President.
The twelfth article of Romney's faith, one which he no
doubt memorized as a child, affirms that it is his
duty to honor, obey, and sustain the law- Yet
Romney is a MORMON, and surely a MORMON cannot be
President.
Romney's faith group is recognized and respected by
governments throughout the world. It was so respected
that it was miraculously allowed to build a temple in
communist East Germany before the wall came down-Yet
Romney is a MORMON, and surely a MORMON cannot be
President.
Romney's church teaches that the constitution is a
divinely inspired document and that this nation was
established by the God of Heaven. Such respect for our
nation and it's founding document can make just
another politician into a statesman-Yet Romney is a
MORMON, and surely a MORMON cannot be President.
Romney's religious organization teaches love and
compassion for all human beings and provides millions
of dollars in aid to many countries. It also sent
thousands of volunteers to aid Katrina
victims in our own country. That aid is given freely,
without regard to the religious preference of the
recipients-Yet Romney is a MORMON, and surely a
MORMON cannot be President.
Wait a minute! What is it about being Mormon that
disqualifies Mitt Romney from being an effective
president? It is true that there may be theological
differences that exist between Romney and others, but
he is not running for Bishop, Rabbi, Pope, Minister,
Imam, or Pastor. He is running for PRESIDENT.
I hope he wins.

Some Mormons even have a problem with Mitchell Romney. Many of his political views do not match up with the doctrine of the church. We are strongly against abortion, but at one time Romney was pro choice. This is only the beginnings of his mistakes. Why would anyone want a president who can't even remain steadfast in his own beliefs?

Everyones belief's effect their decision making. What you believe effects yours and what I believe effects mine. What you need to decide when voting for a President is not their religion but what do they believe in? Do they believe it is alright to commit adultery and then claim they value the family unit? Or do they actually live a moral and honest life? Do you agree with his policy on different issues? If so then vote for that person if not then find a candidate that matches your views and vote for them.
When Kennedy was running for President everyone was worried he would ask for advice from the Pope. But of course this did not happen. While being Catholic did effect his views and decision they were his decisions to make not the Pope's. You will find the Mitt Romney did not call the Leader of his church to make decisions as Governor and would not do so as President any more then any other President has.

For most mormons, mormonism doesnt AFFECT their decision making process, it IS their decision making process. Faithful mormons will only do what is "righteous" according to their religion, or what the prophet/leaders say to do. Sometimes this can end them up on very different "solutions," and these are not always logically smart decisions. Seeing as Mitt Romney IS a mormon, in my opinion he is not at all exempt from this. Mormons can be good people, but i wouldnt want one in the whitehouse, making decisions for our whole country.

Strong kudos to Fotomama and Idaho Gal! You two ladies said it well and said it best. I was going to jump in with the same information, but all I can do now is say "Ditto!"
I remember voters and non-voters alike saying the same denigrating responses about JFK becoming president. I don't believe he had the Pope over his right shoulder either.

The Mormons believe we all lived in Heaven with Heavenly Father, several Heavenly Mothers, and 20 Billion Heavenly Siblings before we were born here on Earth. Then there was a war. The good guys won and were born White. The bad guys lost and became demons. Those who were neutral or did not fight bravely were born with non-white skin. The bravest of the brave were born to Mormon families.
We all know that Romney must have been a "Valliant Warrior" in the "War in Heaven" during the "Pre-Existence". How else could he have been born "White and Delightsome" to an LDS family here on Earth? Heck, he was probably one of the Commanding Generals . Now , America needs a President with valuable military experience like that to get us through our war in Iraq. Could you please ask "The One and Only True Prophet", Gordon Hinkley, to please release those valuable records to the public? We need to know what battles he fought in. How many medals he won. How many of the "Less Valliant Soldiers" he recommended being born with black skin when they got their chance to be born on Earth. Was Al Sharpton one of THEM ? How about Jesse Jackson? Mormons, this is your chance to show the world the light of the everlasting gospel. Dont miss out. We have General Romney running for president of the USA and we need you badly right now!
