It's love nibbles. It's a type of grooming that cats do to each other. Some of my cats do this to me. Others have never. It's a sign of affection. Take it as the compliment it is.

Nips from Kittys are signs of affection/attention or behavioral. I have owned cats over 25 years and still have 6.
Currently have 3 that show affection by nipping.
One likes to get me on the ankles. I pet, he nips, etc.
The other 2, which are brother/sister, get me on the arm. It is usually when they don't get enough attention
The first sign is a nice soft rub up against the area they are going to nip.
We had a cat named Boogers however who nipped only on the legs because the children played a little rough with him as a kitten. He always went after anyone with bare legs til the day he died at 16.
Had another cat named Oscar, a Himalayan who had been brutally tortured by a 3 yr. old before we got him. He outright grabbed our ankles, scratched and bit. The owner told us we would never break the cat of the habit but after about 6 months and a change to our home(no little kids), he completely stopped and was just the opposite.

My cat does the same thing especially when I rub his belly. It's just a playful sign of affection. I usually dont let him love me like that for too long so it doesnt become a habit.

Yes, it is affection. All three of my cats do it. We call them "love bites". If I am petting my cat and then I stop, he will lovingly bite my knuckles. Rockey, my sweetheart, who passed away last summer would give me love bites on demand. I would say "Rockey, give mommy love bites" and he would. God how I miss him. My other cats picked up on that and they do it now as well.

The following is for the cat and should be whispered to him:
Hey Sam! How are you doing? You know that you should not play with your food before you eat. When you bite your owner, don't bite more than you can chew and please don't chew with your mouth open.

My cats do that, it is their way of either showing affection or wnting more. As long as they are not real hard and they dont draw blood, I would not worry about it.

Some cats love bite, if he doesn't bite hard, I wouldn't worry about it, it's pretty normal.
