What if I eat too much TUNA??

Question

i'M trying to get in shape, so my main source of protein i want to get it from tuna sandwiches....any bad side effects if I eat two tuna sandwiches a day per two weeks?

Not at all. Tuna is an excellent source of protein and omega-3 vitamins!! I would, however, recommend that you NOT eat white albacore tuna more than twice a week (higher levels of mercury), and try to stick with either fresh tuna or tuna that is packed in spring water rather than oil.

It should be okay for a short term, but you should be careful when eating sea food like tuna too often. Tuna contains a lot of mercury, so it's recommended that you limit the amount you eat. Over-exposure to mercury causes mercury poisoning, which is especially dangerous for pregnant woman and young children, as mercury can impair growth and development of children.
Again, if you're only eating it for two weeks it might not be too bad, but if you were to do it for longer you could get sick. Hope this helps!

Two sandwiches a week sounds like not much, but mercury adds up in the long run and will cause neurological damage.

I'd suggest looking into other forms of protein. Do you like Eggs? Peanut butter? Bean Burritos? Other types of Fish?

These are all awesome sources of protein that you don't have to worry about brain damage with.

Actually you should only eat tuna about twice a week. There is a certain amount of mercury to be concerned about.
