"If you don't do this you'll burn." So much superstition...ridiculous.

Blah, whatever. How do I become a faithful gentile?

You are attending the wrong church if religion sounds deceptive to you. My church does not say "if you don't do this you'll burn.." and neither should any other.

Religions are all made up of people, like you and me.....and
sadly, some of them do say things that are not loving, kind,
or growth inspiring in any way.
Some people seem to enjoy using their life energy for doing
negative things, saying negative things......even writing
negative things that harm others rather than do any building
up of our humanity.
And you are right, that is ridiculous.
However, it is not only "religious" people who do this, is it?
Some who consider themselves atheist, agnostic......
whatever label one might consider.....and they still say
some pretty negative, ugly things.....and cause harm.....
so it would not be logical to say that only the "religious"
are superstitious or ridiculous.....or negative.
Not all religions teach the same thing, you know, right?
For you to have written this question, I'm sure you have
done some in depth study of the world religions so you
know whereof you speak, right?
It is unfortunate, can you believe it, that some people will
say cruel things about another group of people without
really knowing a thing about them, other than what they
have heard......that would probably be more unkind than
any group they are criticizing, don't you think so? I do.

Perhaps you should do a web search on "faithful gentile"
and see what yahoo, google, or dogpile has to say.....

I wish you all the best,
Doris

If you're ready to screw all religions, wouldn't you like to be an atheist?

We get free drinks when a theist asks a stupid question. And a badge. And a secret handshake and everything.

A gentile is someone who's not Jewish. Christians are gentiles. They say those things because they are true, by the way.

I think at one time they were called "God fearers." Try this quick quiz:

Read "The Mythmaker, Paul and the Invention of Christianity" by Hyam Maccoby

BTW: You won't find eternal torment in Judaism... That's something Christians borrowed from Zoroastrians.

I think perhaps what your looking for is "Noahide"

I think the jist of noahide belief, is gentile belief in God (the singular God of Abraham) and following the 7 most fundamental and universal of the old testament laws.

it sounds like it might be precisely what your looking for.

Yeah, all religions are mere man's doings. Just rituals. Going through the motions.

The answer? >> Relationshp << with God the Father through Jesus Christ.

Relationship, not religion.
