I have never herd of a remedy you can just buy at home, with head lice you have to wash your hair with that stuff a few times, to kill off a ll the lice, then you have to have someone go through it with a fine tooth comb, if you don't get all the eggs out, even though treated there is a possibility you could still get them back, the only other suggestion I have if you want to get rid of them at home today right now, have your head shaved, another thing to keep in mind since you have lice you will need to wash every piece of clothing you own to ensure you do not get it back. Hope this helps. I know this from experience when I was about 12 I ended up with head lice. It wasent fun.

If you apply a thick layer of hair conditioner, wait at least 20 - 30 minutes, and use a lice comb (a special comb with very fine teeth) and comb out the lice, wiping the comb on tissue each stroke, and do this every day for a week you should clear them up. You can use any thick oil, I have even heard of mayonaise. The conditioner suffocates the adults, but not the eggs, which is why you have to do it every day for a week. The eggs hatch in 5 days and that way you are sure to get all the adults. No more adults, no more eggs.
Then just shampoo out the residual conditioner.
A vinegar rinse can make it easier to get the eggs loose.

If you have citrus, eucalyptus, teatree, or lavander oils, you can add a few drops to the conditioner to help keep them away, after treatment.

I might be able to help! my daughter caught them once from kids in her class at school, many of the girls had them, I was very grossed out, but the nurse said put lots olive oil with a cap over it, for about 8 hours, best to do it over night, longer the better, it will not get rid of the eggs, but it kills live lice, cause they suffocate from the oil, but they can hold there breath so the oil will kill them when they are in it for 8 or more hours, then after that you need a metal lice comb, while the oil is still in your comb the eggs out, then wash your hair with Dawn Dish Soap, I also but a natural leave in 2 hour treatment to do a few days later, keep doing the olive oil treatments every few days, and lots of COMBING! it worked, no lice, put the olive oil in now, for a long time and it will kill the gross adult lice, and get one of those nit combs! my daughter has very long thick hair! there are stuff that you can buy in the store, but they have side effects, and don't always work, good luck!!! hope this helps.

Buy a lice remedy from your local drug store, they aren't really expensive. Keep up with it and use either a lice comb or a thin toothed comb. Comb your hair with that after you take a shower. Each time you comb a chunk of hair, rinse out the comb and take out the nits. Keep up with the lice treatment until there are no more nits left. Even after that, keep it up for a little while.

Heard of margosa tree? It is really useful. 1. Take some margosa leave and boil it in some coconut oil. Now apply the mixture to ur scalp. And keep it for 1 hrs. Comb ur hair then. Take a proper comb which can catch lice. Or.... 2. And really really useful method is take some napthalene and make a powder from it which should be mixed with some coconut oil. Apply it to ur scalp. Massage it. Keep it for one hr. Then comb it. Follow these method twice a week. U will really get rid of those nasty lice. Good luck!

shampoo ur hair 1st and then add lots of conditioner. take a very fine comb and comb through. this will make the lice come out. rinse and repeat. the nits r a bit difficult to remove all of them at a go coz they r tiny and r stuck to the hair. u have to kill or remove all of them to ensure that they dont hatch into lice. washing and combing this way everyday will make them go. but remember to rinse thoroughly each time u finish

Buy a head lice shampoo to kill the lice, it won't get rid of them but it will kill them.

Don't scratch your hair so much it will damage your scalp.

I used alcohol to kill them but alcohol is bad for hair.

You need somebody to take them out of your head, I heard mayonnaise works.
