Pepto-Bismol if you don't mind using meds... But there is a cause for the diarrhea, and it may be flushing something out of his system that needs to leave. Besides the sore butt and messy pants the main thing to worry about diarrhea for a few days would just be dehydration. Give plenty of water and let it work through it's course would be what I would do, and then after the 3rd day I would become concerned if it didn't start getting a little more solid the next few days and normal by day 5...

The worse thing that could happen to him is that he would get dehydrated, so give him plenty of Gatorade or just water. The cause pf diarrhea is that he may have eaten something that needs to be flushed out of his system. Give him pepto-bizmal if you don't mind using meds, and his diarrhea will be gone in less than a week, And you should probably get his some diapers to help with the messy pants! I hope I helped!

The most important thing is to make sure that you replace the fluids and electrolytes that he has been losing. Pedialyte or even gatorade work for this. The last thing you want is for him to be dehydrated.
Usually, the body will heal itself. You can give him foods with fiber in them (anything that comes from a plant, like bread, fruits, and veggies) to try to harden his stool. If the diarrhea continues through the night, or if he vomits or has a fever, he needs to go to the doctor.

There is a chewable pepto for children that will help. Make sure to give plenty of liquids as the diarrhea can cause dehydration.

Blood in the stool or fever - take him to the doctor ASAP. Otherwise...
Most importantly, keep him hydrated. The best thing that is commercially available is pedialyte. Keep him on small amounts of bland foods (no butter or other fats) - saltines, plain toast, rice... and try to avoid juices and drinks with large amounts of sugar. If it keeps up or if he starts running a fever or he stops peeing (or it's REALLY yellow) you may have to take him in to be seen by a doctor. Most of these things are caused by viruses and are self-limited but sometimes they need to be addressed by an actual doctor.

Hmm. There are some things that you can do, but the easiest would be to give him some pepto-bismol. If you have already tried that you might want to take some ginger and cut a slice and place it in his belly button while you massage his stomach counter clockwise.

make sure that he gets plenty of fluids & include some 'pedialyte' so he doesnt get dehydrated. it is possibly a stomach virus like - rotavirus. take him to see the pediatrician if he doesn't get better.
