Let me get this straight: The creator of the universe will actually change the laws of nature -- the very laws that he, presumably, wrote -- to bring me what I want, if only I ask him nicely?

Have I got that right?

He'll even create parking spots for you, apparently.

You have to suck up like crazy, though.

Hello and NO that is not correct your confusing a genie in a lamp that you rub and get three wishes from for A Heavenly Father, and He did not change the laws when He died for you, Jesus [see Heb.13:8, Heb.1:5-9, John 1 for Jesus being God] kept the laws and made it possible for us to be saved but in the dying He never changed either the ten commandments or His natural laws, in Hebrews 13:8 we read Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, He never changes who He is and He does not change the laws He made. The creator of the universe does not work like that. You can't pray for a million dollars and expect him to give it to you.You need to be rich spiritually. That means more treasures with him than anything else.

um.. I don't think so.

Think about it on a larger scale. If you were the only individual being served then it would really create a MAJOR disruption in the balance. What I mean is, if this were possible, then all "nice" requests would have been granted with absolutely no heed to any other person except the one who asked.

Well, yeah... if you ask him VERY nicely, AND if he FEELS like it.

The problem is... he never feels like it.

He works in mysterious ways.

There's a catch, though. In order for this to work, you have to BELIEVE that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree..."

So... there's a little more to it than just asking nicely. But, even then, he STILL never feels like it.

Or the creator of the universe will for reasons unknown alter the way that water forms into clouds and rains back down to earth up 'til the point that the great flood occurs, the first rainbow appears and water finally is allowed to refract light in such a way that it produces a prism of colors in the sky.

Not really. The higher intellect just might see a much bigger picture than our request and perhaps just might take other factors into consideration. (Such as asking for it not to rain for the wedding when the countryside is parched and crops are dying??)

actually its more that the laws of nature are more complex, and that there are "back doors" that science has not figured out yet.

technically YOU can personally gain the knowlege and discipline and awareness to recognize and utilize those "back doors". at least to a point.

do you REALLY think that science as we know it has a complete grasp on all of the limits and rules of existance?

I mean its a bit unscientific to think that theres no possibility of there being more complexity and variation to things than that which we currently know, isn't it?

If you ask for a million dollars, you may not get it today, but be careful what you ask for because you may not like how you get it......like an accidental dismemberment clause in an insurance policy...would you like a million dollars for an arm or a leg?

Yeah sure but he cannot forgive any man or woman.
He must first create himself in human flesh.
So that he can die at the hands of those he cannot forgive.
So he can appease himself and convince himself that man is worth forgiving.
