When I first tried it, it worked some, but then my face got really dry!! I used still and then my face became crackly. When I stopped using it, more pimples came up!!!! I was so sad how my face looked from using Proactiv. So I went my dermatologist and got ACCUTAINE. It is a pill you take once a day for only 2 or 3 months and it worked great! My skin is clear and I never get a pimple!!!!
Would you rather use facewash for months and months or have your acne gone forever in just a few months?

yes, it works wonders for most types of skin and you will see results quickly. However, the only problem I have with it is it is a lot to do twice a day, so that is the only problem.
If you are up out the door and dont get back until late the night then proactive is not right for you.

Yes, for me at least, to an extent. I have oily skin and it's not just oily in the T area either. My skin is oily everywhere. Proactive did indeed work when it came to clearing up my acne, however it didn't control the oiliness good enough or as much as I hoped that it would. But it does serve it's purpose! Which is to clear up acne, so I would recommend it... it just may not be for everyone.
Good luck!

ProActive works alright. AcneFree will clear up blemishes a little better (not to mention it's cheaper), however it does take the coloring out of your skin a little bit. Don't be fooled by infomercials...my suggestion is to use St.Ives Apricot Face Scrub twice a day and also use Oil of Olay's line of acne products...I use St.Ives in the shower, Oil of Olay cleanser, toner, then mosturier every day and don't have a single pimple...my face used to get very oily and break out alllll the time!

It worked for me. It's not some magical product that will make your face completely clear overnight, but it's the best thing that I've found. The "Refining Mask" or whatever they call it is especially effective. I don't think that's part of the package though.
I don't use it as much as I did when I started, and my face has become pretty clear. I recommend using oil absorbing sheets from Clean and Clear and bathing before bed as well.

Yea it worked a little but not that great. it also dried out my skin in the cheek and eyebrow area and made my t-zone even more oily.

No it didn't. ( Oh it would work right in 60 days) MY BUTT! So all you have to do is to get a bar of soap and clean your face good!
