I have met many SDA's. They are nice people. I do not agree with the doctrine, but they definitely do not fit the lable "cult".

You state that it was a former Seventh-day Adventist fellowship. You don't state the current name or fellowship. Is it still Seventh-day Adventist?
The Seventh-day Adventist church is not a cult but is a denomination that follows the strict principles of the holy bible. I'm assuming that by cult you mean the bad kind of cult whereas religion becomes an obession rather than a religion. I do not see that with the Seventh-day Adventist. It should be noted that a true following of Christ will be considered strange by the ordinary lay person.

Yes, most Bible believing Christians believe that Seventh Day Adventists are a false cult.
Their "annointed false prophetess" is Ellen G. White, they teach that no one can be saved except for members of their group or people who believe like they believe.
And if you read Galatians carefully you'll see that any group which teaches you must add following of the law of Moses to faith, which is what the SDAs do, has been severered from Christ, they have have lost their salvation.
Galatians 5:4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
This become more clear if you read the whole chapter and even the whole book. Also read Colossians chapter 2.
That is one of many passages which teach contrary to what SDAs teach.

not sure....from what I know from a 7th day adventist friend of mine the only real difference is that the 7th day for them is Saturday instead of Sunday. That isn't wrong God said rest on the 7th day (he didn't say what exact day that would be in our week) and to be honest I can't see why the specific day would matter, but hey I'm only human

No. It isn't "bad" and it isn't a cult!
We follow Jesus Christ - the same as you do.
We DO keep the Sabbath, as God instituted in the BEGINNING of the world (so no, it's NOT part of the "law of Moses" - it's a memorial of Creation)... but we do not believe that keeping the law will save you - only faith in Jesus Christ will do that.
We also keep the dietary laws of the Bible because that is the healthiest way to live - not because we thing you will go to hell if you do not.
Here's more on what we believe with the Bible references to back it up!

We keep "ALL TEN" commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.
And have the Bible and the Bible alone as our only rule of worship And not the traditions of man.
We worship according to the commandment of God and not the Papacy.
With regard to foot washing. Jesus washed the disciples feet before the last supper, he said to them "as I have done to you so you also should do to one another" Jesus commanded it. There is as much authority for foot washing as there is for Communion, it is an ordinance of humility, done before the emblems of unleavened bread and wine (grape juice) are taken. Its hard to feel proud and self righteous after you have just washed an others feet. Don't you think.
Also I didn't know we SDA's had our own Bible, that's funny, I use the KJV, I'm am some times amused by the ignorance of "so called experts on this site"

seventh-day Adventists think of Adventists are fantastic. some think of they're extraordinary and shop on with The Bible too heavily. Others have fake doctrines and consequently fake comments with regard to the seventh-day Adventist Church. right here is what the hot testomony says with regard to the Sabbath: Hebrews 4:a million "consequently, through fact the promise of getting into his relax nonetheless stands, enable us to be careful that none of you be stumbled directly to have fallen in need of it." Hebrews 4:4 "For someplace he has spoken with regard to the seventh day in those words: "And on the seventh day God rested from all his artwork." Hebrews 4:9 "There maintains to be, then a Sabbath relax for the folk of God." opposite to conventional thought, we've faith that with the aid of Jesus' death and accepting Jesus as our Saviour, we get everlasting existence with the aid of faith not works. JESUS LOVES YOU, GOD BLESS YOU, study THE BIBLE, AND MESSAGE ME in case you opt for for to recognize greater :)
