I think I'd walk in with toilet paper hanging out my ***, stoned like the bejesus.

I queitly gathered all of my personal items, sent all personal files to my home computer and then continued my job as well as any other day. When my boss came to get me I shut down the equipment and gave him a list of projects I had been working on and their status. Even though I was fired with cause I could have gone back several months later partly because of my attitude when I left. Also still got very good references from them.

Easy. Show up, wrap up personal items and get outta there asap. No need to work the entire day when you are getting fired. Or if you do have to be there the entire day, start looking for jobs on company time.

Behave in a way that you can be proud of, that sets an example for the rest of the world who don't know how to behave. Fired or not, you agreed to do a job, it's up to you to do it to the best of your ability, even in the end.
You don't mention if you were fired unfairly or anything like that. If so, I hope you've collected the necessary evidence to prove it if needed.

Carefree. Do everything you couldn't do before. Watch Office Space tonight and you will know what I mean.

If you're absolutely certain, just go by HR and turn in your resignation notice.
