Working from home isn't probably going to happen unless you have several years of experience.

You could check local hospitals, or try for a job in a doctor's office.

I have a list of companies that outsource medical transcription to home based independent contractors. Some may take you with your training, but no experience, just ask them and hopefully you've got good keyboard skills as well. You can also take general transcription and for cash flow and over time build up your medical transcription. I was lucky enough to get medical transcription work from a small doctor's practice, with no experience, and now I have 3 years of dermatology transcription behind me. Apart from such companies, you can find medical transcription through other means and they may give you a go on your training alone. I've posted a couple of pages to help.

Try Pacific Eye Institute. You may need experience but worth a try.
