For anyone to say, I am "God's Son" and expect people to believe it nowadays, they would be institutionalized and medicated. So why is it that people still believe that Jesus was "God's Son". I happen to think that Mary was one of the very few to have a child out of wedlock, and explained it away by saying that the baby was "God's Child". She was so good with this lie that she even convinced the poor boy that he was just that. As for his abilities, anyone that believes that they have powers of any kind will have them. Belief is reality.
But what are your thoughts?

Jesus was the greatest charlatan of all time.

He was born out of a typical marriage between mary and joseph and lived a life trying to reform Judaism to his ideals, but was crucified for heresy against the authorities in rome.

However, his followers "disciples" as they are known today, and their successors corrupted his message until it became the convoluted theological heap we now know as Christianity.

Actually, it's not all that implausible that Jesus would claim to be the son of God. We frequently refer to God the Father and always consider ourselves His children.

If Jesus actually lived, I think he could very well have been teaching Judaism, but I don't think he ever considered himself to be the literal son of God. He had been raised by Jews in a Jewish culture who would have considered such talk to be crazy. Plus, if he had not been married with a family, he would have had no followers whatsoever in the Jewish community.

Paul is the one who changed the rules in order to convert Romans when he could find NO takers among the Jews.

No, I think Jesus really believe all the stuff he said. Just like those who think they are Nepoleon really believe they are Nepoleon.

It was Saul of Tarsus, AKA PAUL who was the charlatain. He was willing to do whatever it took to sell his new religion.

Jesus never claimed to be the Son of God, or the Messiah. I think you should read a bit of the New Testament before you claim to know what's in it.

How did Mary convince Joseph that he had a dream that an angel told him that Mary was carrying the child of God?

Although I disagree, I'm on a mission to give everyone who asks and answers a question until sundown PST a star and thumbs up.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's thought this way.

Many of today's more famous magicians are able to perform Jesus' "Miracles" with much less effort.

Claiming to be God's son is meaningless. Finding where God refers to "My Son Jesus" is what counts. You won't find it.
