is it for the propose of getting drunk, or do you enjoy the taste? or do you drink it for that tipsy feeling?

i would say a little of all, I enjoy the taste of beer, its relaxing after a long hard day, and it calms you down. If i am at the beach with friends, getting drunk makes you enjoy your time more. somthing that is not usually funny makes it funny, and evey idea is a great idea. But if you drink just to get stupid and do stupid things, than your just stupid. And theres things that i can only do when i am drunk, like bowling, playin pool, and throwing washers. If i am sober i suck at all of those, get me tipsy and im a pretty good player, dont know why?

It's a good question. I don't believe anybody likes the taste of alcohol the first time they take it, it's a poison after all!
I was tee-total for years for this reason, but just found it difficult being the only sober person on nights out, so tried to find an alcoholic drink I didn't find disgusting. Once you've become accustomed then I think you can get into the taste and enjoy the drinks more - as I have now!
By the way - if you ever want a cheap night out - say you are teetotal because you have never found an alcoholic drink that you like. I said this (truthfully) years ago and it became a kind of competition for people to find a drink I would like - got drinks bought for me all night! (Although you do have to have a weird mixture.)

To all who said you drink for the taste, you are liars. the taste of beer is disgusting just like everything else about it. The only reason anybody drinks is because they see others drink. People like to copy others, that's all. The same thing with smoking and all the bad habbits that people do without knowing why they do it. I'd take a can of soda or juice over any other alcoholic drink.

I used to drink alcohol in a social setting but realised that I can enjoy myself just as much (sometimes more) by drinking non-alcoholic drinks only.
I never forget what I did the night before.
I never wake up in a house I don't recognise.
I can drive home.
My mouth doesn't taste like the bottom of a parrot's cage in the morning.
I remember what other people do when they are drunk (isn't blackmail great!).

Don`t drink that often but when i do it`s because i enjoy it, never drink with the intention of getting tipsy or drunk but obviously there are times i do. I like the occasional bottle of rum and love the taste of it...

I drink for a lot of reason *The Taste *Stress *I like the feeling when I'm drunk * Its funny the next day or so talking with your friends about what all happened that night & * You pretty much always have a good time doing it, unless something goes wrong like getting trown in jail lol not cool.

I enjoy the taste of a glass of wine with my dinner, and there is nothing wrong with drinking in moderation, like everything else in life it only becomes an issue when you abuse alcohol.
