What do you want Muslims to do about terrorist?

Question

Only about 5% of Muslims are extremist and yet people treat regular working class Muslim badly because of them.... What do you expect us to do? leave our job, go to Iraq and find them? HOW?
One person said we should tell the extremist that and redirect our anger at them.. How do you expect us to do that? you have some extremist's number? or am i suppose to go to house by house and ask " Hey, Are you an Islamic Extremist because if you are I need to give you a piece of my mind?"
really we don't have any power or influence to do anything and media only makes things worse by putting some jack pot on t.v to talk about Islam when clearly that person has no idea what Islam is all about!

Yes, Many of these terrorists were freedom fighters in the 80s and 90s. They turned out to be terrorists when they turned against US.

It was the US who created them against Russians, trained them, who praise them as 'Mujahideen', who is protecting them. (Just how Saddam was, he was one day their close friend helping him for all his attrocities, helping him with WMD for war against Iran)

Ever wonder why Usama B.L is never caught. Yes, the US needs him for their wars and WMD to be moving on. We are the stupid fools to believe the media. Hope you understand. US has done the greatest crimes in humanity if we are to take counts of innocents died before its insolent might. (atom bombs, vietnam war..... it has a long history of wars only). Of course no one can support those who blow up and kill the inncents. They are the cowards. But many are resisting the US invasion which all of us will naturally do. Otherwise we are the cowards.
It's all part of a game and Allah is testing us for our faith to be increased and we turn to Him even more.

terrorist IS NOT only muslims. This makes me very angry when i hear this. How about the Schools of the Americas? Are they not terrorists? They kill innocent people in their and other countries. Muslims are not all terrorists. There are many others. Just because someone has olive colored skin, dark hair and eyes, have a full grown beard and have a name like hussein or mohammed DOES not mean that they are a terrorist. Get over these assumptions and think about it. If someone is an extremist and kills people for no apparent reason then yes they are a terrorist. I dont care if they are asian, american, hispanic, black, white... IF THEY KILL FOR THE SAKE OF NOTHING THEY ARE A TERRORIST... not because they are muslim.

I don't treat them badly and it's ridiculous to blame an entire group of people for the misdeeds of a few. The fact is that the extremists would still be causing trouble even if they weren't Muslim. They would just find another excuse. It's the nature and character of these people rather than their religion and you can find this in any group of people. That's why Christians are blamed for what happened during the middle ages. A lot of people who don't like us will pick out the actions of extremists and judge all of us by what they do. I agree that the media only makes things worse. Just tell these ignorant people you are a special agent for the government and you're working on it. Maybe that will shut them up.

You don't have to ask these people what we should do. We are not here to serve them. They know full well how many skeletons they have in their closet and they all seem to get some case of amnesia in the case of Iraq, where America is killing their own troops for no reason.

We ARE doing our job. We are on sites like these showing people what Islam is. We are promoting tolerance. The best thing we are doing is getting about our normal lives, and worshiping Allah, and being an example of what a true Muslim is. But sadly, SOME not all, people don't want to see the good, they want to see the bad.

For those people telling us to leave this country, It's not yours. It's ours just the same. So how about you go to antartica and kill the polar bears for their fur.

I have so many non-Muslim friends who even fast with me during Ramadan. That shows that I have made a difference. My job, our job, is not to reform the world and how so called "Muslims" who are really just terrorists run their life. They are just preparing themselves for Hell because random killing and such is haram.

And remember sis, this is all a test, Muslim ummahs in the past have been tested with more hardships then we have. So let it be.

AND FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE WONDERING WHAT I HAVE DONE.. I am president of the MSA (Muslim Student Association) and we have had so many ralies, protests, and fund raisers. We have spoken out against these radicals and extremists, collected money for people in hurricane Katrina, and lear protests in the war against Iraq. Not just for the civilians there, But for the troops too.

But those who choose to be blind, will stay that way.

who are this terrorist? I really can't pinpoint one, since the administration branded anyone who does not conform with its policies, even to its own patriots.
historically, here in the philippines, during the 1900's when america has just ended the war with spain, a former colonizer for about 350 years, the philippine forces battled against american troops, but subsequently, majority, having experienced the tolerance of america than of spain, accepted them. Among the remnants who mistrust them and continued the struggle,they were branded as "criminals" worst than the thieves, rapist or other heineous criminals.They still use that propaganda till now, "psychological warfare operations" to discourage sympathizers. Wars are not usually won on the battlefield but on the coffee table.
About the" true "terrorist, those who broke laws of God, as well as that of nations, the muslims are taught to help them both, the oppressor and the oppressed.Prevent or discourage the oppressor doing his ways and support the oppressed with whatever one have, even offer one's life.

As far as I know, I've never met an extremist in person, and on the rare occasion that I've encountered on online, I've kept my distance. They scare me.

Anyway, what's with calling them extremists? A person who practices extreme Islam isn't going to murder!! These terrorists are mostly poor misled individuals who have never read the Quran (or at least have no understanding of it) who have been misled by politicians to make chaos so that the politician can feel powerful and gain wealth. The combined effort of the US and its allies(the few that are left) cannot seem to find Bin Laden and yet ordinary muslims supposedly all have his personal phone number or email address so we can keep in touch...whats up with that?

We do what we can in whatever we can(written word, media, personal actions) but basically what non muslims want is for us muslims to go on a man hunt and personally deal with these lunatics...are all of you willing to come face to face with someone or a group that are known to kill people on a whim? im not...
