So please just go through this with me: once I finish the online thing, is there anything else I need to do before I take the test, and who do I call to take the test? Then, what do I need to do between passing the test and enrolling in driving school? Then, how long does it usually take to have a license once you're in driving school? Then, when you have your license, what official paperwork and crap will you need before you should start driving? Also, I saw something on the Today Show about a box worth of stuff that's good to have in your car, both for your actual car's function and incase of emergencies; what would this stuff be? Please include what everything will cost. I know that's a lot, but I'm freaking out here lol and would really appreciate some help.

I did Driver Ed In A Box and it was easy to follow. It also has checklists for what you need to take the tests. Check it out and good luck!
(as for the box of stuff, go to any walmart, target or the like and they have them in the auto parts department)

what online thing? where do you live? i can tell you that for michigan you have to enroll in segment one, drive 30 hours (2 at night), enroll in segment two, drive 20 more hours (all in all, 50, with 10 at night), and then sign up to take your road test. you will have already taken the written portion in segment one. segment one was more than 100 dollars (sorry i can't remember exactly), segment two was $35, and the road test is $40. but that's just in general, because there are a ton of different driving schools and they all have their own fees. by the way, when you take your road test, you have to have your car in good condition. but if you don't have a car, or it's going to cost a heck of a lot to fix it, then you can usually just rent one from the company. good luck on parking!
