I was at work the other day and had to go pretty bad, i noticed my far lower back was in an odd deep sharp pain that I hadnt experienced before. I was curious that maybe the pressure inside could maybe press against the spinal cord or something of the sort.

Yes!

I have suffered this many times. I do have comprised (herniated disc) in my lower spine. I'm sure constipation throws my alignment out of wack and causes pain. There has been times my bowels were ready to be relieved but it was not possible for several hours and I had severe back pain until I was able to relieve myself. I know, to much information but you asked the question, lol.

GOOD LUCK!

Maybe you strained your axs muscle when having a bowel movement - don't force it dude. Just kidding.
