i have noticed when a religious question is asked most not all people who share the same beliefs ban together regardless if someone has a better answer.... if thats the way its gonna be why ask an open question? why not address the question to those who share your thoughts?

This forum is used by a lot of people who think they're in a club so they have to put out the the club colors. Free thinking is mostly a myth here. I read the same old rants and rails regardless of the point of view and when ever someone enters into here with something new and original they get their account deleted so it stays fairly stale with the same old same old. It's good for a giggle every now and again until either camp decides to get you suspended. I'm still getting best answers for accounts that were suspended ages ago. These so called open minded people should go to a bar and read each other reams of bible quotes or ask pascels wagers till they drink themselves silly, they contribute nothing here.

I give my own comments regardless of what other Atheist have to say. There are many of them that I do not agree with in the least and some Christians that have made good points. I will give credit where it is due despite a persons religious belief.

depends on the question. I find most christians do because they have a book that tells them, however criptic the writing may be, the answers.
Most atheists have their own opinions about things, but will always agree when the question at hand involves the existence of god.

I don't....if fellow Christians give answers I don't agree with I will thumbs down them, if atheists give answers I agree with, I'll thumbs up.
I don't think religion is a major deal, as in alliances. I answer people's question and if they don't like my opinion, oh well.

We limit too many things. Let's look at the big picture. I want to know the thoughts of people who do not share my thoughts.
I like variety. It is one of the many things that will always be with us. God made us different. Aren't we glad?

So in other words you are complaining about the choices of best answer.
I choose best answer based on the information I am given or if it makes me smile. I never pick someone who totally disagrees with me unless they have something new to add to the discussion. Why? Their answer would not be the 'best' answer for ME to the question I asked.

Do you mean 'band' together?
Actually I reckon they compete to give the best answer. If they KNOW the questioner isn't going to give them the Best Answer, due to their viewpoints being too opposed to that of the questioner's, then they'll compete to give the funniest or most sardonic answer. Just my opinion.

I'm an atheist, yet there are plenty of atheists whom I wish would just be quiet.
