1.) YES
2.) NO...because lots of people have had flings and lots of young people have not been in a truly meaningful long-term relationship in high school quite yet.
3.) Your beautiful in your own way, you've got to learn to work with what you've got and make the best of what you have. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And if someone doesnt want to be in a relationship with a "late bloomer" then their not worthy of thee's company.
4.) Umm...well in 8th grade i hated all the boys at my school and my mom's freind was like why does she not have a boyfreind?....i'm like okay i'm in 8th grade all the guys are idiots. So your parents can think that. In high school all guys care about is sex..and all girls care about is gossip so my suggestion sweetheart is that you be happy with yourself because no one else will like you if you dont like yourself.
GOod luck...
things will come just believe. when your ready you'll know. Theres a right time and place for everything. Trust.

There's nothing wrong with late bloomers. I was one. I only had 1 boyfriend at that was at the end of my senior year. He wasn't worth a darn. I didn't get married until I was 32. It just took me a long time to find the right person. My daughter is almost 20, she's not interested in dating either. She's an execptionally beautiful girl. She isn't ready for dating. It's her choice. I don't think she gay and she doesn't have to date until she's ready. I think very highly of her. It doesn't matter if people judge her b/c she hasn't dated a lot. It's her life & her college education is her priority right now. No big deal. Good luck. 2D

First of all, everyone "blooms" on their own schedule. Not being ready to date doesn't mean you're gay/lesbian because if THAT was the issue, you'd already be dating someone of your own sex *duh Mom&Dad* You really should stop beating yourself up by comparing yourself to the friends you have that are already dating. Some of them are doing it just to fit in, which is the wrong reason to date. There's nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy high school without all the drama that goes along with having a bf/gf, and there's nothing wrong with waiting until college or sometimes even later to start dating. Getting out of the house by joining a club, playing a sport, getting a job(where lots of other high school kids work) or going to church youth functions are all GREAT way to meet new people and make lots of friends- you'll be having so much fun you'll forget all about blooming... and then one day it'll just happen ;)

being a late bloomer has nothing to do with that fact that you dont have a boyfriend or a girl friend....just because you have not had a relationship before does not mean anything...things happen for a reasons... and things will happen when they are meant to happen... dont stress...

1. Yes, my husband had 2 G/f in college and never had one in high school. I had only one after I graduated as well.
2. I wanted to be with him and obviously his ex's wanted to be with him at one point. he wanted to be with me as did my ex at one point.
3. I was and my husband was and we found each other. He was 25/26 and I was 24/25 when we met.
4. My parents never did because I always had crushes, I don't think his parents did either, because he's asked a few girls out once or twice. Other parents my think it though, especially if their child shows no interest in the opposite sex, as in saying some boy/girl is cute or haveing a crush one someone.

late bloomers can get/have the same thing anyone else has. there is a time for everyone, and everything. alot of it depends on the person being effected.
