There is this guy I really like. We are friends, but we are not close. I am going to see him at a pool party this weekend, so how can I get him to notice me? I really want him to like me.

I think guys like when they're the ones doing the chasing so don't be too obvious. But i think a simple strategy for him to notice you is to look at him and when he looked at your direction, smile a bit and then look away. It should say that he caught your eyes and you noticed him among the crowd. Then try to mingle around him and when given the chance, talk to him directly. Hope this helps!

Parties are the perfect place for guys to notice you, but you got to be subtle! Make it too obvious and guys are going to back out. Heres what you can do:
BEFORE THE PARTY:
IM him, because you have something to talk about (the party). And get to know him more. IMings always easy, since it's not face-to-face. Try to make some inside jokes so you have convo-starters at the party.
AT THE PARTY:
When you enter the party, go in with a bunch of friends, and try to be in the center of attention. Laugh and walk with confidence. Wear something you would feel comfortable in too. If you wear something too flashy, most likely people would surely look, but then laugh.
Then say hello to everyone and jump in the pool, casually and join a game.
Team up with him when you're in the pool playing games (Volleyball, etc.) Then you begin to have some kind of mutual bond, and he'll definitely talk to you. Have fun, show him that you're spontaneous. Try your best at the game too. Guys like feminity, NOT weakness.
Then, maybe tag along with him to the refreshment table. Start some small talk, and maybe you'll be chatting all day long. Then slowly go mellow and hang out with your friends again. Don't cling onto him, let him chase after you. If he likes you, he will totally come and find you.
Well that's all I can say. Chill, and don't be too flirty, cause trust me, been there done that, and it didn't go very well. Just talk like regular friends. You can't make him like you, you just have to show him your good side, and see if he likes it. Just invite him to a particular area around the pool and tell him, when he gets the moment to stop by and visit because you enjoy talking to him. That alone will make him curious, he'll notice you. When he arrives, just talk to him. Good Luck

Didn't you ask this question elsewhere? My answer is still the same: Don't dress like you're promising something you don't want to deliver. Dress or act cheap and you'll be treated cheaply. Be yourself, be confident, walk up, touch his shoulder with your fingertips and say "hi". Talk to him about this or that and occasionally touch his arm with your fingertips. Each time you do, notice if he pulls away. If he does, he's not interested. If he doesn't, he's plenty interested and you're pushing all the right buttons. It really is "that" simple.

Go to the party, and strike up a conversation with him then see where it leads you. Wear a real hot suit if you have the body for it, that will get his attention.

Do something real stupid like throw yourself into the pool while standing next to him and say he pushed you and make a real fuss about it. insist that he pushed you until eventually he gives up and you strike a meaningful conversation BUT don't you ever confess that you only wanted his attention or you will end up like me no girl and no one wants me.

wear ur hair down, a black bikini that is flattering to ur body, and be confident. u should go u and talk to him. but if u don't see him when u git there talk to a friend if u find him then make eye contact and possibly wave. if once he is done talking to someone(assuming that he is talking to some one) he will came up and talk to u most likely. but if he doesn't he might be shy, so go u and talk to him when he is alone.

the best advice i can give you is...DONT OVER DO IT....dont go buy some way expensive bikini or get your hair done...just be yourself...dont be to pushy or anything. just start a conversation with him. nothing serious. all relationships start by talking and becoming good friends.
