Well they make an extremely high percentage of Congress. There are only few women, few minorities and very few women minorities in Congress. Unfortunately you have to be a little wealthy to run for office. Since our history is slanted towards rich white men, its gonna be awhile before the minorities and women catch up. I wish more would run for office, because the White Christian Men are not doing a very good job... of course you might say because they're not integrated and governing with only one point of view.

Because the far majority of people who RUN for the office have been just that. And Jesse Jackson is a dink (which is why he never got as many votes when he ran, not because he was black).
By the way not all of the founding fathers, including some who got into office, identified as Christian.

This country, though one of many glories, wonders and natural beauty, is not run by the democratic ideals which we all belive it to be. For hundreds of years our leaders have been only a small and tight-knit section of our community. All of our presidents have been, and will continue to be, closely related-if not by blood, by kinship. The first post about Hillary and Obama is quite naive, as they have not made it to office, and unfortunately have a .0005% chance of doing so until a large social revolution has been won.

Can you name a woman, an African American or an atheist who ran for the office that actually deserved to win? And you still can't since Hillary and Obama are not suited for the job either.
God Bless.

It is mostly white Christian males who vote. People have been accustomed to a white president they are uncomfortable voting for anyone else. We have a strong chance of having our first female president next year (HILLARY). and I believe this country is redy to ellect a non white, non christian president in the near future.

I would debate the Christian part of your question concerning some of the last Presidents in the past 50 years.

Because the White House is a corrupted place and only those with the most power and the greatest disregard for life can enter.
Male + White + Christian + Money = power.

That's an interesting question, especially since countries like Pakistan, India, Israel, the Philippines and the U.K. have had women at the helm,

Maybe because the U.S is 90% christian. Only about less than 1% of the people on this earth want to be president. So pretty much it probly is going to be a christian. Many african americans dont wish to be president and never run. Maybe its because christians are born leaders...they can make the most firm and essential decisions based off the morals they learned in the bible like all of us should... maybe thats why...
