According to Roman Catholic teaching Limbo is a place on the border of hell or heaven, serving as the home after death of unbaptized infants and of the righteous who died before the coming of Christ. It was also believed that with the return of Christ those souls would go to Heaven because of their innocence. They no longer promote that belief....that's strange....? .

That is a believed place of holding between Heaven and Hell for a person to be able to work out his salvation, or others to do things for him to help.
