Well I got Safari and I love it and it looks better and loads sites faster than other browsers. But a few issues are pissing be off. I find myself having to use IE for things that Safari for some reason can't do. Like when I go to CNN.com and try to watch a news clip, because they use windows media player to play their clips... It wont let me watch them, it shows like a hella old wmp version and just sits there so I have to use IE for stuff like that. And like if a site has a picture a lot of the time it will not display it... there will only be a blue box with a question mark. And its annoying. And for some reason when I use my yahoo fantasy baseball team I have the drag and drop lineup thing and it will not let me use it. And t will not edit the display settings on my Windows Live Mail (beta) acount either, the options botton is just not there! But is on IE. And I can't use Beta Yahoo mail or anything... what causes this?

Hey, Safari is only released for Public Beta versions, that means we still have a lot of time before we see a good and stable Safari version getting released. Even in Beta version its still very good except some bugs which I found and which you specified.

Lets talk about it : IE ( which is currently in its 7.0th version, have a long list of errors and fixes) have a default movie player as Windows Media Player, Safari since it from Apple will have a default movie player as ITunes/Real. Non-compatibility of video format doesnt allow you to play your CNN clips in Safari.

Yahoo! Beta uses either AJAX/ JASON/Web services ( not sure which one) which might not be a part of the Safari Beta release.

However, Apple will provide you with plug-ins for Safari, like the way FireFox ( currently in 2.0th version) is providing to view Window Media Files, Real Player files in sometime.

So buddy, please wait for some time, before a good stable version of Safari is released and I bet you wont look for any other browser until and unless both IE and Firefox does a good research and released a faster and better browser ( keeping debate open on security issues).

Till then, enjoy browsing with Safari, but dont expect a lot from it.

It is a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. It works pretty fast on Mac and PC. If you are satisfied with other web browser, just uninstall it. However, I recommend that you try it first. If you like iTunes, you gonna like Safari too. Apple has made a mistake for putting a check on the box in the Apple software update. =)

Because it's BETA and doesn't work well on sites that assume everyone uses IE only.

Try Firefox instead.

Safari is garbage. It doesnt even work properly on Macintosh let alone Windows. Just use Firefox. It is 10x better.
