I have a JVC digital video camera that takes DV tapes, and whenever I play a tape back with kind of a lot of footage it like takes breaks after a date with the blue screen with the time and date blank just blinking and sometimes takes a few minutes to seen whats next on that tape. Any way I can adjust the settings so this doesn't happen, just to replay the entire tape without any pauses?

it sounds as if the tape was recorded with spaces/erasures between takes. this sometime happens if you stop to playback and review the picture immediately after shooting. the tape is not automatically re-cued to last good video when restarting. no fix for this tape. you need to be sure there is still a picture when pausing after reviewing a shot, then the camera can assemble the video as continuous clips, otherwise you will continue to get gaps and unrecorded sections.
