It seems to me; since your friend nearly died, but did not; since he is still alive, that God DID save him

To answer you questions, let me tell you my experience. I was stupid for driving a bit too fast and not paying attention to the road when I came up on a corner, lost control of my pickup, jumped off the embankment and into a tree. After colliding nose first into the tree, the pickup dropped about 12-15 feet to the ground where it started rolling down the hill. It rolled twice before landing on the wheels and coming to a stop. I was injured in the accident (I broke my back, crushed the L1 vertebra), but I could have been injured much more seriously or even died. Now, I believe I WAS being STUPID for my part that caused the accident, but I also believe that GOD SPARED me in that accident and used it to get my attention. IF I had not hit the tree, the momentum from the speed I was traveling at would have most likely caused my pickup to have flipped and rolled down the hill side until it reached the creek at the bottom. IF the pickup had not stopped after landing back on the wheels, but instead landed on it's side or on it's top, I probably would not be walking today. Also, my passenger received only minor injuries and walked from the accident (which I think was another instance of God's intervention). The way that my back broke caused the bone fragments to shatter away from the spinal cord in all directions and away from the major nerves bundles that branch off from there. The doctors were amazed at the way it broke. I am still walking, running, dancing, jumping, playing, etc. today, with only minor problems (stiffness and occasional aches and pains) to remind me of my past stupidity. As a result of that event in my life I am now committed in my walk with God. He has brought me to a place of full assurance in the reality of Him. I believe that YOU WERE STUPID for running up a set of stairs with a kettle full of boiling water. Having said that, I also believe GOD GAVE YOU GRACE and He is working on your conscience and He is trying to get your attention. He knows that you are struggling with your beliefs. He understands that and still LOVES you. DO NOT overlook this, DO NOT blow it off as simple stupidity and nothing else. Take this time to seek His face as earnestly as you can. Feel free to email me via my profile info. I will be happy to tell you more about my experience or work with you in helping you make those steps toward God.

God could have easily saved your friend. I'm very sorry to hear what happened. But just because God can do something, it doesn't mean He is going to. God has this plan drawn out for us. Nothing is done by mistake.
God Bless!

God has many features, some of them are fully reflected in this world and some of them we partly see in this world and fuul understand in hereafter. God is omnipotent, but he does not punish everybody who comit crime in this world, or He does not save everybody from difficult situation. we will undestand his omniptency in hereafter fully.

THE POINT HERE IS that we are in exam at the moment and we ask the teacher whether He can solve the difficult problems which He asked us in this exam. And if HE does not solve the problem during the exam we accuse Him that He has not got the enough knowledge for solving the problem : ))

Or I GIVE ANOTHER EXAMPLE, He is like a doctor, a child go to see Him and ask some sugary drugs for his symptoms, If it is reasonable to give that drug for that disease He gives that drug, or if it is not appropriate for his disease, He gives another drug, but it does not mean that He does not like the child or He has not got ability to give sugary drug All the best :))

If he is still alive, then yes God wanted him to continue on in life. When it is your time to go home to God, no one can bring you back no matter what they try to do. Something similiar happened to my dad back in 1976 he died twice (during a procedure to prepare him for upcoming open heart surgery)and crossed over God sent him back to us.we had 15 more years with him

Could have... yes.... Would have... probably not... Miracles are and were rare.. There were a few in OT times and even Jesus didn't preform that many of them. There would never be enough to satisfy mankind and they would have little effect on peoples faith or acknowledgment of God.

it is very very possible, many are called ..but not everybody answers.. some are chosen, predestiny to do some great for GOD's kingdom.
example, i once wasn't a believer..my friend whom i ask GOD to bring a friend at work..that isn't childish with gossip..and all them high school baloney..not long after than. one came in..we have lots of likeness..first black friend..and im his first white friend...we're brothers.
then one day..he got saved..born again..soon he preaching love.
and i'm saying..i pity tht guy for falling for that pycho mumbo jumbo stuff..weeks later..after hearing about..GOD loves and forgiveness.is given to me..do i accept it?
over and over..finally..i said..GOD LOVES ME>
and I recieve a spiritual awaking at work.
being legally blind and deaf i still don't go to church much..because..people are people with disabled folks.
but bottom line is this..GOD and JESUS nad HOLY SPIRIT are VERY VERY REAL.
HE answer our prayer..from the humble heart..not the proud MIND..or mind full of fear...trust GOD is like money in the bank...or life on earth..for long time.
HE who has an ear to HEAR..let him/her hear GOD.

anyway..the possiblity is very real of what your believing.
Josh McDowell has a small paperback..if findable? title
truth or hoax.
he once was as you..and me.
his homework or research..he found GOD..physical evidences.
beside..WOULD YOU DIE FOR A LIE? die for a scam??
no human would..so surely those 11 men..and women..and the 120 men/women in book of Acts..only 120 came to upper room meeting..waiting on GOD..out of 500.
many are called.
few are chosen...it a choice of ours.
to believe.....or not.
even possible of this friend of yours..to be a witness to YOU..it's possble..GOD is the spirit in mankind..when it dies the spirit man leaves..surely we got machine that can pump heart..breakh in our lungs..what missiong..the spirit man is missing.

If he died, there was nothing to do to save him. I'm very sorry he died, though. *hugs*

Ah, I'm sorry, I thought you said he died. If he was saved, you should thank the doctors and nurses that did such a wonderful job saving his life.
