I'm a fan of Harry Potter.I am also a Christian.I do not think that Harry Potter is evil. It is not encouraging anyone to start practicing witchcraft. Its merely a work of fantasy created for our own reading pleasure and for the widening of our imagination. Whoever starts practicing witchcraft because of Harry Potter is a retard.I think that people these days take little things too seriously.

Of course not! I am a Christian, and I can't believe all the hoopla over this. It is no different than The Wizard of Oz or Snow White, etc. (There was a witch in Snow White, but no one ever went into a tailspin over that.)
Many children who hated to read learned to love to read because of Harry Potter.
I applaud the author!
I've read all the books and seen all the movies. My students love Harry Potter books.
There's nothing wrong with them at all.

The books preach tolerance, self control and taking responsibilities for one's actions - really awful stuff to teach kids isn't?
As an aside, I don't know why I still take offence at being called a Satanist when I'm just a common or garden hedge witch.
Can I point out to luvdalz68 that your lot used to burn my lot just because we believed something different to you - how evil and satanic is that?
Can I just point out to our

Its not just a movie, its a whole series of books. Good books and good movies. Not evil. Just entertainment. People need to get over it already.

No, he's not evil. Those books actually make children WANT to read. How can that be evil?

It may be a fantasy movie, but it glorifies witchcraft (which is real) and paganism (which is also real). Kids think it's so great, then before you know it, they're getting into covens and such. It also makes it appear that the powers of Satan are stronger than the power of God. Both "good" witches and "bad" witches are on the side of Satan.
