Bone grafts are only necesssary if you have very low creatal bone levels. For people with normal bone levels, stitches are all you need, if you need stitches at all.

If you want to make sure the height of the bone stays high on the back end of the second molar you can do some bone grafting after removing a wisdom tooth. I always hate seeing a second molar with no bone at the back end, especially if the wisdom tooth was impacted and needed some cutting to get it out.

A bone graft is only necessary if there is insufficient bone in an area to do resorption, and in most cases, a prerequisite for dental implants. Since there is no need for 3rd molars (as long as you have your other molars) a bone graft would be pointless because ther would be no tooth there to support the bone and it would resorb anyway.
