I don't need smart aleck answers from anyone who isn't a Christian. I prefer feedback from people who have actually read the books, and perhaps know them to be persuasive with a skeptic.

I think it depends on the person.
Are they analytical? scientific?
Perhaps C.S. Lewis or Chuck Colson.
Are they more sociable, more a "people person"?
Perhaps a testimony by someone who God has seen through extraordinary circumstances.

The Gospel of John is still always on top of the list.

i would say the bible, but just reading the bible wouldnt necessarily convince someone of anything, simply because people who are already convinced its a lie will continue believing its a lie unless they study the extra-biblical evidence out there (which there is a ton of). i would highly recommend the book "The Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel. he was a complete atheist and a journalist and lawyer whose wife became a christian. he wanted to find out if there was any proof of the very existence of christ, so he traveled all across the country to interview experts in many different fields and he found that there is more than enough evidence to prove events in the bible are true, the gospel accounts of Jesus are acurate, and of course that Jesus DID exist. needless to say, he is now very much a christian. i didnt become a christian by just reading the bible and deciding it was true. in my opinion, anyone who just reads the bible and nothing else and believes it would probably believe anything. i believe becaus it has been proven to be true through other means. but i suggest Lee strobels books as a starting point. and good luck

The "Left Behind" series is a great set of Christian books, and I know that many non-Christians have read them. I think it would maybe scare the h**l out of anyone who was not a Christian, maybe that would persuade them(?) . I am a Christian and I loved the books. Fact based on the Bible and what it says about Christ's return. God bless you...I hope this helps as these books are very interesting and very hard to put down. ♥

Besides the Bible, a book that helped me open my heart to Jesus more was "Power of a Praying Woman" by Stormie Omartian. I had already asked Jesus into my heart though but it helped me grow in many ways and I learned how powerful prayer is. Praise the Lord.

If they haven't accepted Jesus as their personal Savior yet, the best thing you can do is pray for them. Ask the Lord to lead you and He Will bc He knows what's in their heart.

Here is a Fathers Love Letter you can print out & let them read if you feel led. It's all on scripture and how much God loves us.

for one thing you can not persuade someone to embrace christ. it is up to that one person and pussing some one to believe does not work and i am a believer but all you can do is speak about him around them. some really good books are the LEFT BEHIND books they are about the people left after the coming of christ and them living through the judgements in the book of revilations

People are sometimes too lazy to read books. My favorite Book is " The Book of Urantia " The last 800 pages or so are about the life of Jesus. I would prefer giving a movie to someone. The Best movie about the Christ is " Jesus of Nazareth. "

"The Silent Miracle" by Ron Rathbun is as close as you are going to get. It is ancient, yet modern--it teaches you how to "know thyself." It will teach you how to clean your vessel of what isn't real so that you can see how Christ would want you to see: through your "own" eyes appreciating all the beauty and power of the positive that surrounds all of us; that is, when we are open to it.

Even a skeptic can't argue the beauty of this book!
