To me, the words 'friends' and 'abuse'... just don't mix. Cruelty, especially to something or someone that cannot defend itself.... is unacceptable! If you don't do something.... you will allow the behavior to continue. It should be reported. You don't want these people as friends. Call the humane society... NOW.

Take the cat away yourself. Don't just stand there and let them do it. That is the same as approving their actions.
You can also report animal abuse to the police. It is a misdemeanor offense in most jurisdictions.

If the cat is being abused seriously, report it to the animal control of the city.
Animal abuse is serious. Sometimes people who abuse animals as kids, abuse people when they grow up.
Don't be afraid to report the abuse. It will make it clear to your friends that abuse is wrong.

Phone an animal help line asap , then punch the evil person for hurting a defenseless little cat ,

Confront them immediately and let them know how you feel,don`t let this situation go .If things do not change report them to the A.S.P.C.A. There is no excuse for animal abuse.I think your friends may need some help.Normal people do not abuse animals.
