Hi,The only times that I can recall Jesus having an annointing were,1.Mary Magdilane washing his feet after His long trip to jeruselem, and when pilot washed his hands for him before condemning him to death, Annointing as far as I can grasp ,was a cleansing or cleaning for the body or spirit and karma as well.

No he wasn't sick. He was the son of God, and on earth he was a man anointing was not just done for people who were sick.

Anointing back then served a similar function as a coronation (that is, it showed that the person being anointed was the ruler).

Exactly what anointing are you referring to? Anointing with oil? Anointing with the Holy Spirit? Be specific please.
