back when school was still in, my technology teacher said that adobe made a freeware/shareware stripped down version of photoshop to download....does anyone know about this? and where can i get it for a mac?

No freeware version. But if you are still a student, you can buy the educational version. Photoshop Elements is a good alternative - like a stripped down Pshop. Look here to start:

You can down load it free from a bitttorrent site.

You will need a bitttorrent client to down load though.

Azureus is a good client. Do a google search for it.
