I would suggest "The German Shepherd Dog" to all of you....

Drives are very much breed related...that being each breed has their own set of drives dependent on their purpose in life...

I once read (Secret lives of dogs) that Pack Drive or the drive to belong is the strongest drive a dog has....I consider this to be true...One study where a dog was placed inside a fenced area that Canadian Geese called home saw the dog take a submissive role role as their protector so he could enjoy their company....

everyone talks about drives, pretty much everyone is now talking about being a pack leader. And that's pretty much the way 30 years ago everyone talked about being bipolar, and 20 years ago everyone started talking about ADD. It is always nice to have a nice label to stick on things that don't go well or that we can't really explain. My dog is fat? well, uh, no, he just has a strong food drive. Oh, and he's big boned. My dog is humping the mailman? UM...i dunno whether that's sex drive or prey drive. It's some drive, though, can't be poor training or control.

Even though some people here got the gist of fight drive, I would like for you to explain it in your terms so that I get what you are saying, fully.
