My eye is really red; it's kinda irritated like scratches but not very much at all; but my vision is cloudy off and on...
I was swimming in a pool with chlorine yesterday; could this be the cause? If so, how long till it goes away??
If not...um what the hell is it?????

The scratchiness has gone away now after I took my allergy pill and put some of my allergy eye drops in. The cloudy vision also went away; but it's still sore and red. I'm thinking it's just the chlorine, and yes; I did open my eyes underwater.

It is likely a combination of things, allergy, plus irritation from the chlorinated water plus you have no doubt been rubbing it. I would suggest some good antiallergy eye drops, if the cloudy vision doesn't subside quickly would suggest a visit to the ophthalmologist.

Was is your personal pool or one where lots of people swim? This is most likely caused by not enought chlorine in the pool because it sounds like an infection. You should go to the doc tomorrow and have her take a look, don't use the anti-allergy drop anymore so she can see any symptoms they cover up.

This could be caused from a number of things!
Are to experiencing anything associated with the blurring vision? What about a headache? What about a churning stomach? Are you experiencing any pain anywhere else?
If you haven't slept, ate, drank or have been out in the heat for an excessive amount of time (how long were you out in the pool?) this may be causing this! Based on the information you have given, I would say it's from being out in the heat and under the sun for an excessive period of time!
Try flushing your eyes with water for about 10 minutes. If you have access to any saline solution (ex: Clear Eyes, Vizine, etc.) I would suggest one drop in each eye, wait about 30 minutes and see if it clears up.
If this persists for more than 24 hours after sleeping, I would suggest you schedule and appointment with your FNP or MD as soon as possible for further diagnosis and information.

it could be irritated from the chlorine. Try using eyedrops like Visine or Clear Eyes. If that doesn't work, it could be something more serious like Pink Eye and you may need to see a Doctor. But it seems like it would just be really irritated.

Swimming in a pool with chlorine is the cause of it. The same think happened to me. It takes a day or two to go away.

It could be a variety of things. It could be some type of allergy, it could be pinkeye, or (most likely) it could be a reaction to the chlorine. Rinse your eye out with water, and there are also drops that you can use.

chlorine tends to dry everything out so your eye being red and itchy is normal especially if you open your eyes under water. The best was to get rid of it is to use eye drops for dry eyes. Clear eyes( dry eyes ) work the best for me but there are lots of different kinds that work to!!!!!!!!!!
