Is bitting a lot normal for a chihuahua? i stick my finger out and it bites, is it playing around or is it seriuous? It sometimes but a little hard. Whats a good toy for it? Please answer all!

1) go to a local petstore and go buy natural meat treats. like a pig's ear or a rawhide or something. maybe one of those rawhide shoes cause they're thin enough for dogs your size.
2) DO NOT GIVE IT MILK! its alraedy weaned from its mother and its fine. giving a dog cow's milk is NOT good for the stomach. it gave my dog severe diarrhea and vomitting (in the middle of the night. in my room. i had to clean it up...)
3) bitting is normal for a puppy. but make sure that your chihuahua doesn't become aggressive. say NO when he's biting your finger for no reason (unless youre purposefully playing with him) give it toys that he can teeth on (puppies have baby teeth they need to take out. their gums itch ).
4) toys that are good for puppies would be plush toys, squeky toys, a small tennis balls (specifically for small dogs.) and lots more.

well you can feed your chihuahua certain puppy treats and puppy food but not any dog treats. you should not give your chihuahua milk because it can cause stomach problems but if it is really small you can feed it baby milk. sometimes when adog bites you it can be from playing or serious so later on you should try to teach it not to bite people.

My wife and I had 3 Chihuahua's they all lived for more than 10yrs 2 males and female, We gave them dry food food small bites and we would mix it with the gourmet small cans of dog food. yes bitting is normal it wants to play and get a small neoprene toy or a chewy toy. I would recommend that you get a book at the pet store chain on them. also check with a vet they are very very loyal dogs but they require lots of attention. you find that you spoil them its ez to do they love chicken! so keep that in mind plus there are lots of good treats for them.

It would eat a puppy brand food, I highly suggest using "small bites", as far as brands go Science Diet is probably a very healthy choice.

No milk it is to old for milk.

Nipping is okay once in a while but it should be deterred

Bitting is normal. Give it dry dog food if possible it will get use to it. Milk is ok and treats.

when mine wuz a 1 month or 2....i gave him puppy food but i put hot water to make the food soft and then i take out the water...cuz there teeth arent strong enough to bite....like cereal...but take out the hot water after the food gets puffy and soft. .. or if u decide 2 put milk instead of water thats good but u can leave the milk for the dog to drink....dont feed it to much cuz he will through up...trust me i had 2 baby chihuahuas ...its a pain at nigh when dere crying....

oh yeah prevent for the dog 2 be aggresive...giuve him the rabie shot whne he gets bigger....hit him when he tries to bite u...just dont hit him hard....my dogs dont bite me 4 whatever reason really....they respect me....they just lick alot...

you have to be carefull with chis as some of them have very delicate systems and they need special food . Mine used to throw up every brand of commercial food there is so I put both of them on holistic food . and for their little systems I would reccomend holistic. good luck with your little baby .
