Check around with friends, neighbors and family about things like cutting grass, cleaning basements, garages, washing cars, doing errands, or any odd jobs. Many times the elderly not only welcome these things but look forward to having someone help them, same with family's with two wage earners.

Have you considered teaching an art class to home schooled kids? Or maybe at a home day care? You can easily make extra money doing that. Or maybe you can contact your school and ask if there are any kids in your school that needed a math tutor. I know with my kids, they have created their own animal sitting service for our neighborhood. They take out the dogs 3x a day, play with them, clean up after them, feed them, and also care for cats and other animals. They charge $10 a week for 1 animal and $3 for any additional animals. This gives them the extra money and also teaches them responsibility with money, animal care, and budgeting.
