I own a Canon EOS 10d but often find it heavy and big to carry around. This camera is currently on an advert on the tv and offers the same as an DSLR camera. it comes in silver, black and navy blue and is pocket sized as its the worlds smallest 28-280mm camera. What do you think ?
PS, any other recomendations will be greatful. my price range is under £250 MAX !!! thanks again all.

That's a very nice camera. You might also consider the Panasonic Lumix FZ7 or FZ8. I have the FZ7 which is the 12 x zoom version. They all use the excellent Leica lens.Mine is a cross between a SLR and a compact. But do check if it comes with a SD memory card, and budget for one with at least 512 Mb capacity.
