Some people are not cut out for it.
I am one of them.
When you least expect it will be when you are called upon to perform a very heroic deed. It may not seem like a big deal at the time you do it but looking back it sinks in that you have done something for someone that you thought you were not capable of. Dealing with the after effects is the hardest part

Somehow I doubt a prospective hero ever asked that question as it is not something someone plans.
Right place, right time, right courage; willing to risk your life for others.
Often the hero tag is attached to people who are not heroes as they don't really risk everything - sports people come to mind.

uh.. become someones hero? become a rolemodel be a good example for others. be nice do the right things. now if your asking about saving peoples life. become a doctor lol

First off, stop wondering how.
Heroes don’t think about their actions in terms of will this make me heroic.
Simply put the needs of others first and you are sure to make a difference, even though you may never know exactly how you made a difference.

First of all its "a hero" and second, you can't just be a hero, you have to be called upon by God and have that be your duty. Thats theoretically spoken of course, to one person you may be a hero just for living and being you!

You need a flaw in your character, a tragic flaw. Are you ambitious, and do your goals excede your potential? If so, you have a chance at heroism.
It helps if you have a leading lady too...
