Some people really enjoyed being a teenager because, in their minds they had less "pressure" on them than they now feel having to pay the bills and only getting two weeks vacation a year.
That being said, I hated being a teenager. I felt like I was beholden to so many idiots. Even throughout college when I was on my own and also working full-time, I hated school and homework but managed to get through with minimal effort. After I graduated college, I felt like a fog lifted from my life and I was free to explore what I really wanted out of life. Yes, there were no more summers off, no spring break, no winter holiday. But I could do as I pleased with my time and my money. I didn't have to turn in some superficial assignment that had no relevance to my existence, or listen to dull drivel spilling from the mouths of people who couldn't make it in the business world.
It may just be that you're actually not being challenged enough by your environment. It sounds like boredom may be your biggest stress. If that's the case, then yes it does get better.

I think that people just say been a teenager is fun. Although my life was fun as a teen, I do remember all that horrible homework. So, I would say that an even happier time in your life will be your 20's and 30's. Then you will choose a career path, likely find a wonderful person to date and maybe eventually marry, buy a home, buy your first new car, go on some wonderful vacations, have some kids, etc. Go off to college. It is totally different than high school. You will love it.

During your teenage years and early 20's, you have very little responsibilities, that is why they say we have more fun. You might just be having a bad time right now but it will get better. When I was younger I thought the same thing and then I started hanging out more and more with my friends, got the love of my life, and now, it really is fun. You just gotta wait until something fun happens and then from there on out, you'll enjoy life.

OK honestly everyone who I know always says being a teenager can be the worst time of your life. It's the time when your body has that massive cahnge called puberty and you get easily confused cos your brain is in overload with all the physical changes and it feels like the whole world is out to get you. So dont worry when you mature more and realise that the world isn't out to get you- it's just generally hard work being a successful in the person in the world- then things start to get better.

I'm in my thirties and life is much better...I have arrived in my personality department and am a confident, wiser person. I feel very comfortable in my own skin as I have come to accept myself and also has keen fashion sense for myself (thru the last 2 decades of trial and error). *hint last two decades of fashion ups and downs. I jog 3 times a week , i am into art and music, I have a good husband (met himwhen I was 20, also my 1st bf) and 2 sweet girls and caring parents and a brother.
I am not trying to boast But ...
count yr blessings - family friends
hv hobbies (wholesome) even if others find your
hobby boring
keep fit
be yourself - don't succum to peer pressure

Let's just say that if I had a chance to go back and do it all over again, I wouldn't.
My parents loved me and weren't monsters or control freaks at all. School was somewhere between bummer and living hell, but it wasn't the teachers or anything. It was social. I am just glad I survived.
Life after high school got better.

yes it gets better ask any one and they will tell you that the teenage years are the most awkward time of your life .you are still growing up and finding out about yourself ,as you get older you gain confidence and don't take so much notice of what other people think, but at the same time try to enjoy this time as you will never be this age again. try and make the best of it

Teen years are the worst for everyone, but out of all those bad experiences you should make some life time friends and have some great memories. It gets way better after the teen years.

Its not fun until ya in ya twenties and have bills to pay and maybe a broken heart and look back and think 'actually it was easier back then less hassle and the worries in school aren't as bad as they are now i wish i was a teen again being as cocky and ignorant about the world it was easier'
