My cat has gotten very big in her stomach area, she eats more than usual, her nipples enlarged, and her stomach feels like it has little bumps in there. The only problem is that the lady who gave Minnie to us said she was already fixed. We do have a male cat, but we have total proof he was fixed. She doesn’t go outside very often. She went out side on Halloween and Xmas. Minnie's barely one year old and had no period. How can this be possible? She dosen't look or act sick so what eles can it be?

Cats can get pregnant from four months of age onwards. Feral cats have usually had at least one litter by the time they're a year old.

Cats do not have 'periods'. Neither do dogs, although the discharge from their back ends is sometimes mistaken for this. A human 'period' occurs at the end of ovulation - dog's and cat's heat occurs WHILE they are ovulating. Furthermore, cats are induced ovulators - being mated causes them ovulate, so once they're of age they can become pregnant at any time.

She's been outside twice - that's one more time than is necessary for her to get pregnant. It's not necessarily your fault if you were under the impression she was spayed - I would have a proper go at the woman you got her from!

Did your cat ever roll around with her bum in the air, or make lots of loud meowing sounds? This would be the signs of a female cat in heat, they're horny little devils. Cat's heats aren't always obvious though.

It does sound like your cat is pregnant though, and possibly too far along to be spayed. Get her checked by a vet and asks LOTS of questions about what to do when the kittens arrive! You can get her spayed once the kittens are weaned - do not let her out before then because she will get pregnant again!

My Cat was pregnant and she is a year old and she sounds just like this, but is she was spayed it might be a false pregnancy, so they can look like they are pregnant but their not really, so take her to the vets, and see if she is, and cats dont have periods :)
Good Luck

She sounds pregnant to me. I have a pregnant cat at the moment and that's exactly what she looks like.

absolutely. chances are she wasn't fixed if she is just now a year old. If she'd already had a litter, her nipples could be enlarged, but at that age there is no way she could've been pregnant before.

You need to have your vet check her out. Sounds like she could be pregnant. All the best;^)
