I was raised in a protestant church but started questioning when I started reading the bible for myself at the age of 9 and the more I read the less I believed (King James version for those interested).
Through my teenage years and young adulthood I studied many religions. Judism (which I like for the culture more then anything), the full gambit of christian traditions (baptist, methodist, lutherian, etc), hinduism, buddism, islam (not so much because of how low women are treated), several native american traditions, etc but none of them ever stuck. The a friend who was part of a native american beading group I was involved with invited me to a Pagan/Wiccan meeting and it was like I came home. It fit, I felt whole and like my soul had found the path it was always seeking. Over the last 15 years my relationship with the God/dess has developed beyond religion but I still observe the Wiccan rede "Do as you will as long as it harms none", but I have also incorperated some of the beliefs such as Karma, although following the native tradition of 10 fold Karma rather then 3 fold (this means that what I put out comes back to me 10 times rather then 3) and the buddist belief that the path to enlightment is through the service of others (hence why I am a teacher) I have found my faith, it was not something forced upon me, and the strength of my faith is reinforced everyday by my personal relation to the divine.

Mom's father was a pastor, so I was reared as a Christian, but I began to doubt the Bible at age 7. I am now an atheist, and that means I have no religion.
