Because it is kitted out as described the vehicle is probably carrying 80% of its permitted weight. This makes a vast difference to the consumption on the Hi Ace.You may try checking the tyres regulary and inflate to 57PSI.Get int top gear as soon as possible, with care try cruising on Motorway declines,Driving around 50 MPH will certainly boost the consumption at least 30%.You have a great motor it will never let you down how do I know I have owned 14 of them the best van in the world.

Obviously check wherever else you can, but my Toyota Spacecruiser (similar car, but obviously not exactly the same as yours) is 33 pounds per square inch (psi), front and rear. Possibly go a little higher if fully loaded, but I suggest NOT 55/60!

Sounds like a decent return for a van, i have a fully loaded small panel van, costs £63 to fill it and it does 380 miles round town.
