I am Muslim. However, given the state of the world as it is today, I would prefer to live in a secular country that upholds the individual's right to fully practice whatever religion they choose, or their own spiritual path, or no religion at all. If that country is predominantly Christian, then so be it. If that country is predominantly Muslim, or some other religion, then so be it.
I don't consider any of the modern countries with predominantly Muslim populations to be "Muslim Countries". They are mostly governed by despots and tyrants. The governmental systems are not in line with Islamic traditions and teachings. Women and non-muslims are often not given the rights that should be afforded to them in a true Islamic state. Muslims in these countries are often forced to adhere to an extremist understanding of Islam that I, and many of their citizens, do not agree with.
Although Turkey has a secular government, the type of secularism in effect there does not abode well with me. There, secularism has become a type of religion and practicing Muslims are not afforded their due rights. For instance, in Turkey, women are not allowed to attend university, work in a hospital, be part of government, or participate in civic life in some other ways if they choose to wear the headscarf in observance of their religion. This is a women's rights freedom-of-choice issue: it is wrong to force a women to cover and it is wrong to force her to uncover.
So let me live in the USA or Canada, where all have the right to live freely and practice their respective religions however they see fit.

Well, since I am a Born again Christian, I would have to choose a Christian country. However, if God wanted me to live in and witness in a Muslim country, I would follow His will. Thanks for the question, and have a great day!

A Muslim country, because as a Muslim I feel people would not discriminate so much against me. And, the Muslim countries that I've visited seem to 'feel' safer somehow. There is less crime.

I'm female. It's my understanding female happiness is not one of the big goals of the muslim world. I thank God constantly that I'm here, and pray for my strong, brave sisters and their children elsewhere in the world.

Neither! I prefer to live where EVERYONE is free to practice or not practice their Faith without being harrassed or coerced into following any other Faith.
