Do I have absolute proof that the Mormon belief that Indians are Jewish is utterly impossible?

Question

1) Mormons believe that American Indians are Jews.

I) American Indians are actually Asians that crossed the Bering Strait thousands of years ago.

II) American Indians do not have any traditions or records that reflect a Jewish background.

III) American Indians are not circumcised.

IV) There is no evidence what so ever that can even support this fanciful idea.

V) American Indians have the bone structure and physical attributes of Asians and not that of Jews.

If you are a Mormon what evidence do you have (other than what Mr. Smith claimed) that American Indians are in fact Jews rather than Asians? Do you have any ancient documentation supporting that Hebrew was the language of the American Indians?

Wrong. We believe that, a couple thousand years ago, some Hebrew people came to the Americas, and that the remnant of these people were, or could be, SOME of the ancestors of today's Native Americans. We know that there were other peoples that came to the western hemisphere, even during the Book of Mormon times, and no doubt inter-married with each other.

Actually, there are some things found that suggest some people of the Central American area and/or northern South America, had features of all races, including Jews and Caucasians.

Men are not born circumcised. Just because some ttraditions might have been done away with over the centuries, does not prove anything.

Why should the Mormons be expected to hold their beliefs to a higher standard than other religions? If one prophet writes that Jesus was the son of a god and another writes that Jews crossed the Atlantic to inhabit Northern America, why should the latter need *more* rationale than the former?

You forgot genetics, which demonstrate beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Indians are a Mongol offshoot and not Semites. But religious faith trumps facts and logic every time.
