No. But I take science seriously. Gore is not responsible for that.

The scientific data clearly shows that, starting about 40 years ago, man's contribution overwhelmed the natural forces that controlled climate before.

This is a nice picture, includes the effect of the Sun, and there are many more scientific studies showing the same thing.

None of the other explanations work nearly as well. The scientific equations don't work for them. The numbers come out wrong. Most questions are answered here:

He has managed to get 2 billion people together
Jesus did not do that in his day

Everybody is picking on Al Gore because of his slightly Narcissistic Movie and his life style ,

Maybe he is not the Perfect person with both of these things
But what the hell he is getting a lot of people to cooporate into being more responsible to the Environment .

And many people have admitted that his movie made them aware enough to investigate and become concerned .

For all that even if he was a gay killer clown ,i still say
3 cheers to Al Gore

who cares what his motives are
It is what results that counts

Only people who do not care for Concerts or this Planet could object to that

Look for how long the waves of Woodstock went on to have significant effects on many peoples way of thinking

If it weren't for Al Gore the internet would not be what it is today. People would still be trying to figure out how to connect all of the dots. He helped it's progress.

Al Gore is totally Eco Green !

I have read his book and watched his dvd and comprehend his message!

The Nay Sayers, who don't heed what he has to say, will be the ones dog-paddling for the Arc when the time comes and by then it will be too late.

Al Gore is just 'The Messenger'.

But, serially, folks.....do I take Al Gore serially? Absolutely NOT!
However, I DO take him SERIOUSLY.
And for those of you who believe Gore to be a fake, a hypocrite, or a charlatan, then I would suggest you go to your local library and check out another highly respected source of information on global warming: the National Geographic magazine, June, 2007 edition, says (and I quote):
"Meanwhile, if global warming continues unabated, the coasts could drown. If vulnerable parts of the ice that blankets Greenland and Antarctica succumb, rising seas could flood hundreds of thousands of square miles - much of Florida, Bangladesh, the Netherlands - and displace tens of millions of people." The magazine, on Page 61, goes on to say, "The temperature threshold for drastic sea-level rise in near, but many scientists think we will have time to stop short of it, by sharply cutting back consumption of climate-warming coal, oil and gas.Few doubt, however, that another 50 years of business as usual will take us beyond a point of no return."
I find scurrilously contemptible and ignorantly naive that basically intelligent people don't want to believe global warming is a serious threat just because it might mean they'll be inconvenienced by driving more fuel-efficient cars, practicing a recycling program, or cutting their person energy usage. -RKO- 07/01/07

The leading cereal man is Al Gore. Because at the rate that
man holds husbandry as his responsibility HE may not even
stop by and award the blue ribbons. Permission is not granite,
so citizens are measured under the commander that says what
goes. Al Gore could still be president, so don't get on board
republican mongrols that start on personal belief, androids
don't believe anyone in policy. They dig the fuel.

umm if you mean seriously..
i believe in global warming and know that it is real.
but, Al Gore-i don't like.
yes he brought global warming to the forefront so now we pay attention..but he also increased the number of nonbelievers.
i'm not going to lie..I'm an environmentalist and couldn't make it through An Inconvienent Truth because of him making it into a speech and all political. If he stuck to the facts without him in it-it would have been much more successful.

Al cracks me up. He shows how silly people look when they go extreme. With science split 50/50 anyone who is creditable will give both sides, reasons, and efforts that may make a change.
Anyone can run around yelling the sky is falling. I listen to people with answers not puppets repeating extremest propaganda.

Serially? Oh, I get it. You meant seriously. (Spellcheck...come on now).

Do I take Gore seriously? Not a chance in hell. He does have a few good points but for the most part, he's a hack.

Most people that don't just let politics do their thinking for them. As far as ice ages go. Some scientists think, if the ice caps melt, it could bring on another ice age by affecting the ocean currents.
