Different states have different laws. Minors usually have to get work permits, and will probably be paid minimum wage. Minimum wage varies from state to state too.

Most workplaces don't employ anyone under 16 and most of the time 14 and 15 can work only Farm related jobs, under 14 on the other hand would have to be a Family owned business.

In most states in the US, you must be 16 to get a job without special permission. Some employers will hire you at 14, but that usually involves something like detassling corn.
In most cases, you can expect minimum wage, since you have no special skills. The exception is union jobs, but they are harder to get.
If you are under 16, you could consider babysitting, cutting grass or yard work, cleaning garages or washing windows.

Some retail establishments will hire as young as 16 with a work permit. They will undoubtedly be paid minimum wage. If you are entrepreneurial at heart, you can also start your own babysitting service, errand service, lemonade stand, etc. and charge what you want.

You can do babysitting at any age, probably around age 12. Take a red cross babysitting course to get certified, will help parents feel more comfortable with you. For other jobs, if you are under 16, you may need to get a work permit, you can get through your employer, as your parents may need to sign.
