I think it's easy to second guess yourself about color, but most of the time your first instinct was a good one and you should stick to it.
Your original color choices are slightly minimalist and very elegant. If that's the sort of feel you want at your wedding, then why change?
Trust yourself. Pick your colors and go with them.

Instead of champagne, which will be too close to your own wedding dress color, try a soft yellow, or buttercream. That would be a nice, soft color to match the delicateness of the calla lillies. You don't want a real strong color for two reasons: it is early spring and it really wouldn't match the flowers.
I think a soft yellow would be very pretty. Besides, yellow is such a BIG color trend this season, you can expect it to carry over to next year. So it would also be very stylish.
Congrats and good luck!

I love calla lilies. I also want them in my wedding but I'm doing a Fall wedding - so I don't think it will happen. =[
For spring I think soft pastels are the best way to go:
light purples such as lavendar or wild orchid
light to medium shade pinks - rose petal or raspberry
light greyish-blue colors like periwinkle
soft oranges - coral, papaya
with spring I think you can do anything shade of green - lighter greens such as seafoam would look nice as well as hunter greens.
yellow is also a perfect spring color and I think the same applies - I think light shades of pink to bright and vibrant shades of yellow would work very well.
Regardless of what colors are 'in' for the season - it's your wedding and you can choose whatever colors you like! But if you want to match the colors to the season - the ones listed above are a good place to start.

good to doubt that. I have seen pictures of this kind of thing...you cant figure out which one is the bride!
For spring, I think of pastel colors, and since ivory is a warm color, I would match it with something else warm, like a peach color. perhaps a few light blue accents in your decorations to complement the warm colors.
But really, it is your wedding and I think you should go with the color you like the best. Take a look at the pictures at www.theknot.com they have them arranged in color groups for dresses, flowers, decor, cake, etc.

Black is always in. Although if your wedding is outside you would maybe want to go with more spring colors. You could do blues, pinks, light greens, and yellows. I think yellow would be great if you had champagne in mind. Good Luck!

You can have any colors you want with an ivory gown. That's the beauty of white and ivory. Pick your favorite colors and go from there.

anything light and spring time fresh. I do wedding florals and ivory goes with just about any color. Light pink, blue, lavender, or a light yellow at spring time is great colors. Best Wishes.

i am going with a white dress with pink and green bead work and a pink sash... my girls will all have a different color dress.
maybe the bm's can do pastel colors to complement your dress. they can each have a different color or same color different dress.
i think of brighter colors in spring... not black- maybe try lighter colors for the sash if you are set on that dress
champ w/blues, reds, greens, purples?

my wedding dress is also ivory and it will go with any color. your colors are fine! just dont do anything that would come out of a kids box of 8 pack of crayons, those are too primary, you need off shades, like light or dark versions of those colors.
