Lets say you are pregnant (If you are a guy, pretend you are a girl).
God comes down to you and says that your child will grow up and become an atheist.
Now you know that, if your child becomes atheist, he/she will go to hell.
However, if you abort the baby, it will go to heaven because it is "sinless".
Which would you choose? Abort him/her or let him/her live?

I would kill it, because if God took the time to come and tell me that, he would obviously want me to do something about it.

First of all... your question is completely flawed because the Canon is closed, and there is no new revelation. God isn't telling anyone their future.
Past that, I would still have the baby. Abortion is still a sin. Though that child may be an atheist for a time, you never know what they'll choose before they die...
And, babies don't go to heaven because they are sinless. They are concieved in sin (Psalm 51:5), so check your facts! ;)

Abortion is murder. Never would a true Christian abort any baby. God would not come down and tell you that your child will be an atheist and go to hell. God has already spoken on this. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

I would allow the child to be born and I would continue to pray for my child according to Gods Word. Abortion puts us in the position of playing God, we decide who lives and who dies. How prideful of Humanity to think that we know best. In heaven someday, we will learn how costly a mistake this has been, how many of these aborted babies, if allowed to live, would have perhaps found cures for disease, or in other ways could have benefited humanity. How do I know that my child, by going to hell, may have saved 10,000 others from the same fate. If I had aborted my child for my own selfish reasons, perhaps many more would have died and been lost.
Only God knows all the far reaching consequences when we choose to do things our own way and not His way. Gods way is Love and it always works out best for humanity if we simply learn to obey Him.
God Bless You....Peace.

This requires leaving emotion out of the picture and making a objective judgment.
Making that kind of choice puts you in the place of God, doesn't it? God created the child, the woman is the vessel He chose to bring it into this world.
God has a purpose for the child or He wouldn't have created it, and who are we to thwart His plans?
And just because God says the child will grow up to be an atheist, God didn't say that the child would REMAIN an atheist.

God wouldn't do that, but in answer to your question:
Let them live. Abortion is murder and murder is murder.
Abortion is wrong no matter what. God wanted each person to have the opportunity to make the decision to choose him on their own. That is why he gave us free will.
If the child grows up to be an atheist, than that is their choice and they like everyone will face the consequences of their own choices either in this life or the next. I would grieve for my child's decision, but it is the child's decision to make. Not mine.

I would not abort the baby. Like the other girl said let him have free will. And I would try to raise her/him the best i could and pray that he doesnt become atheist. And if they still become atheist i would still love him/her and so will god.

I would have the baby. Even though I am a Christian and I believe in Heaven and Hell, I also believe in free will and choice. If I took that away from my baby, then where would it stop? Also, there is prayer and I believe prayer changes things. So, I would pray constantly for my child to accept Christ during their life span, But, even if they didn't, they still have the right to life. Thanks for the question and have a great day.

Your argument eliminates free will so it isn't able to be answered accurately, but the child would have to be born.
Another fallacy in your reasoning is that God has predestined this person to be an atheist so they would probably go to hell upon abortion.
I find it interesting that an atheist would believe in predestination.

wow this is a hard question. really. And i think it would take a long time to think about. I really don't know, because either choice is cruel. I mean, let it go to hell, thats horrible!! But, I'm also STRONGLY against abortion! So, if I was in this pregnant womans shoes, it would probably be one of the hardest decisions I would have to make in my life.

Let the kid live and be an atheist. God chooses the path for all of us. No man comes to faith without God first initiating. God chooses to let whomever into his house he pleases. Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, not your own doing but a gift from God. Not a result of works so that no man may boast."
