Magnolia Flora, dear friend,
It would most certainly make a difference to me.
I would be shocked because you don't 'feel' like a man and I would expect to be able to pick it up if you were.
I would be upset because, in this section and at the level at which we write, I would expect you to be truthful. (No slight intended to people who visit Y!A for a laugh, that's different.)
Gender has no role in spirituality. ALL beings have the Buddha nature, (even men! lol.)
We are amphibians. We are spiritual beings, BUT we also have bodies, we live on this beautiful Earth. As spiritual beings there is no difference between my feelings for you and, say, Cosmic Drifter. On the physical, of COURSE there is a difference between the way I feel for my female friends and my male ones.
I don't know what a Radha is.
Jon (definitely male) C

I could careless what gender any of you are. Gender and energies are two different things. I'm most interested in the energy and expression of a person than what gender they are. Our physical bodies are just a temporary shell for our spiritual bodies which are eternal. The energy of our spiritual body remains constant regardless of which gender we take up life after life. Yes, we all are Radhas which is independent of the gender that we are.

Krishna said "As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones." (Bg. 2.22)

A very good question !

Everyone make a first impression about some one by seeing the avatar. As you know in our Hinduism it is the practice to give respect to all at the same time some what more to female persons. So on seeing the avatar and also the contents in questions and answers we make our what sex you belong. The sex does not matter much or make any difference so far as Yahoo! Answers is concerned. I have very good female friends in Heron on the sea or Magnolia Flora and good male friends in JK the contemplator the ultimate or Mantra. In the course of our association here a high degree of affection and regard is developed. If there is a SUDDEN SEX CHANGE in them it will be very much disappointing., when we have developed some liking towards each other without seeing personal and just only on the basis of writing and likings. I think you agree with me.

If it is new person no one will bother if he/she is a male or female and only get disappointed when we exchange some common interests (like Rajah Ravi Varma Paintings etc, Bhagwat Gita, etc.) and know each other. This is my feeling.

In the normal course and in Y!A gender has no impact for my friendship with any one so far as he/she behaves with me alright or at least the way I behave with them. There will be no difference or impact on friendship or in the process of learning or imparting knowledge, including spirituality, as we go to the spiritual discourses of Mata Amrithanandamaye or Satya Sai Baba or Shankaracharyya.

Radha is completely different and we can not compare ourselves (even females) to Radha. -

No my dear magnolia you can never be a man . Your answers and your poetic and motherly approach towards me shows that you are a woman. Gender eventhough has no connection with spirituality does have connection with the approach of the individual towards god. I feel your approach is totally womanly. Please dont try to out smart me mom.

And today if I confess I am a woman, how will you feel? Will it make any difference to you or to the other persons who respond to my postings here? I am pretty sure on YA it just does not matter.
On your other questions, on spirituality, no, your sex is really not an issue, on friendship: No. But it does matter in a lot of other areas.

Gender dose never affect true freindship. Speaking spirituality. Down Here in Tamil Nadu, There is a culture of performing Divine weddings through Bajhans. During that time all men and women consider themselves to Be Gopis (Who are women) and Krishna as the only man, and ask him in to marraige.

Even many of the Azhwars considered themselves to be women and cried to the Lord in Marraige. Talking in terms of women, Aandal in one of her songs speaks about being a friend(Boy) to the lord and playing a particular game.

Thus spirituality is always above gender.

I GO BY NATURAL LAW, EVEN BY WRITING SOME THING HERE, ONE CAN PREDICT ABOUT YOUR GENDER. BUT, MAGNOLIA, ONE THING IS RIGHT THAT, SOME HYPOCRITES, FOR THEIR OWN SELFISH MOTIVE SOME TIMES FOOLING AROUND AND LIE TO OTHERS. IN REALITY, THEY ARE WHAT THEY ARE, THEY CAN NOT CHANGE THEIR GENDER, BUT THEY CAN LIE ABOUT IT. MAN OR WOMAN : IS THE ONLY ANIMAL IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE, THAT LIES. I WILL FEEL CHEATED IF U TELL ME THAT U R A MAN. I KNOW 100 % THAT U R A NICE LADY.

Gender does impact my friendships.

I am more likely to 'hit on you' if you are female and not inclined at all if you are male.

Professing to be one sex when in actuality you're another is deception -- but otherwise gender does not affect friendship or spirituality at all.

The relationship of Radha and Krishna is the embodiment of love, passion and devotion in Krishna Consciousness and rather coarsely parallel to the Shekinah as it pertains to the bride of Christ in the eternity.

Radha's passion for Krishna symbolizes the soul's intense longing and willingness for the ultimate unification with God.

Shri Krishna is the soul of Radha and Radha is definitely the soul of Shri Krishna. She is the undivided form of Shri Krishna. She will remain a mystery unless one can know her inexpressible divine elements.

She is worshipper as well as his deity to be worshipped. She being a beloved of Shri Krishna is known as "Radhika".

The whole universe material and spiritual is the creation of Shri Radha - Krishna. Shri Radha is the presiding Goddess of Shri Krishna. The Paramatma - supreme Lord - is subservient to her. In her absence Shri Krishna does not exist.

No, we are not all really Radhas for our persuasions differ in the context of religious reality.

not in spirituality-gender has no role here.In my previous births I have been a man, a lion, a bird, and perhaps even a reptile! But I am the same-the same nomad who has been travelling since time immemorial from one place to another in different cholas in quest of one thing-the love of the lotus feet of my God. I -Aradhana isnt the body,I will travel following the footprints of my Narayana's lotus feet trying to be as near to him as possible.
But if you tell me that you are a man I will be shocked and I will feel cheated or decieved because you said that you are a woman.I will think that this is dishonesty.

edit-I will feel the same for any person who does that.

I will be shocked.this is the height of hypocrisy! this is no game or kidding but plain deception

I am usually surprised to find out someone is not the sex portrayed on the avatar but it has no affect on what I think of them.
